Abstract
【解決手段】ゴム部材1の所定粗さのゴム接合粗面10と、熱可塑性樹脂よりなる樹脂部材2の所定粗さの樹脂接合粗面20とを合わせて接合界面30とし、接合界面30に対してゴム部材1側から超音波振動を加える。接合界面30で発生する摩擦熱により樹脂部材2のみを溶融させて溶融樹脂をゴム部材1内に入り込ませ、ゴム部材1内に入り込んだ溶融樹脂を固化させて、互いに絡み合ったゴム部材1と樹脂部材2とのアンカー効果により両部材を機械的に接合する。

Description
図示しない加硫成形型を用いた加硫成形により、EPDMよりなる板状(8mm×40mm、ゴム厚:1.0mm)のゴム部材1を成形した。このとき、加硫成形型の型面に所定のブラスト処理を施しておくことにより、ゴム部材1の外表面全体を100メッシュ以下の面粗度とした。なお、図1において、ゴム部材1の下面が100メッシュ以下のゴム接合粗面10となる。
押し込み量:0.4mm
発振時間 :0.15sec
発振周波数:19.15±0.15Hz
振幅 :18μm
前記実施例1において、樹脂部材2の上面を10μmのシボ加工が施されたシボ加工面として、表面粗さがRz10μmである樹脂接合粗面20とすること以外は、前記実施例1と同様に超音波接合して、ゴム・樹脂接合品を得た。
前記実施例1において、樹脂部材2の上面のシボ加工による粗面処理を無くして、樹脂接合粗面20を平坦な樹脂接合面(表面粗さRz1.2μm)とすること以外は、前記実施例1と同様に超音波接合した。
前記実施例1、2及び比較例で超音波接合したゴム・樹脂接合品について、接合強度を評価した。この評価は、オーレグラフ(引張圧縮試験機、今田製作所(株)社製)を用いて、速度:10mm/分の条件で行った。その結果を表1及び図3に示す。
前記実施例1において、ゴム部材1のゴム厚を0.67mm、0.85mm、1.05mmと変更し、以下に示す条件の超音波接合をして、ゴム厚と接合強度との関係を調べた。その結果を表2及び図4に示す。

発振時間 :1.0sec
発振周波数:19.15±0.15Hz
振幅 :18μm
前記実施例1において、加圧力、押し込み量及び発振時間をそれぞれ種々変更して、接合強度に与える影響を調べた。その結果を表3及び、図5〜図7に示す。

Claims (2)
- 所定粗さのゴム接合粗面を有するゴム部材と、所定粗さの樹脂接合粗面を有し熱可塑性樹脂よりなる樹脂部材とを超音波接合するゴム・樹脂の超音波接合方法であって、
前記ゴム部材の前記ゴム接合粗面と、前記樹脂部材の前記樹脂接合粗面とを合わせて接合界面とするセット工程と、
前記接合界面に対してゴム部材側から超音波振動を加えることにより、該接合界面で発生する摩擦熱により該樹脂部材のみを溶融させて溶融樹脂を該ゴム部材内に入り込ませる樹脂溶融工程と、
前記ゴム部材内に入り込んだ前記溶融樹脂を固化させて、前記接合界面で互いに絡み合った前記ゴム部材と前記樹脂部材とのアンカー効果により両部材を機械的に接合する樹脂固化工程とを備えていることを特徴とするゴム・樹脂の超音波接合方法。 - 前記樹脂接合粗面は表面粗さがRz5〜300μmの面粗度とされていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のゴム・樹脂の超音波接合方法。
