Abstract
【解決手段】本実施例の照明装置は、その長手方向に切り欠き部を有する略円筒状の反射板2と、RGBの各色を発光する第1のLED3、第2のLED4及び第3のLED5と、反射板2の切り欠き部に配置される棒状の集光レンズ1とで構成され、第1のLED3、第2のLED4及び第3のLED5は反射板2の内側に円の中心に向かって配置され、各々のLEDは円筒の長手方向に色毎に略直線状に配列されている。このような構成により、RGB各色のLEDから出た光は反射板2で反射を繰り返し、最後は集光レンズ1で集光されて導光板8に送られるため、反射板で反射を繰り返している間に各色の光が十分に混合されて、色むらの少ない白色光を得ることができる。

Claims (6)
- 長手方向に切り欠き部を備える筒状の反射板と、前記反射板の内面に配置され、異なる色の光を発生する複数の種類のLEDと、前記切り欠き部に配置される集光レンズとを少なくとも備え、
前記LEDは、前記種類毎に、前記反射板の長手方向に沿って略直線状に配列されていることを特徴とする照明装置。 - 長手方向に切り欠き部を備える筒状の反射板と、前記反射板の内面に配置され、異なる色の光を発生する複数の種類のLEDと、前記切り欠き部に配置される集光レンズと、前記反射板の内部に配置され、該反射板の長手方向に延びる副反射板とを少なくとも備え、
前記LEDは、前記種類毎に、前記反射板の長手方向に沿って略直線状に配列され、
前記副反射板は、少なくとも一つの種類の前記LEDから前記集光レンズに直接入射する光を遮るように配置されていることを特徴とする照明装置。 - 前記副反射板は、各々の種類の前記LEDに対して設けられており、各々の前記副反射板は、対応する種類の前記LEDから前記集光レンズに直接入射する光を遮るように配置されていることを特徴とする請求項2記載の照明装置。
- 前記反射板は、前記長手方向に直交する方向の断面形状が、略円形、略楕円形又は略多角形のいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか一に記載の照明装置。
- 前記複数の種類のLEDは、RGBの各々の色の光を発生する3種類のLEDで構成されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一に記載の照明装置。
- 請求項1乃至5のいずれか一に記載の照明装置と、前記照明装置の前記集光レンズに対向する位置に入射面が配置される導光板と、前記導光板の出射面に対向する位置に配置される液晶パネルとを少なくとも備えることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
