Abstract

Claims (4)
- 画像再形成可能な媒体であって、
第一の面と反対側の面とを有する基材と、
保護層と、
画像形成層と、を含み、
前記保護層が、基材の第一の面の上に位置し、前記画像形成層が、基材の反対側の面の上に位置している画像再形成可能媒体。 - 前記基材が透明であり、前記画像形成層がフォトクロミック物質を含み、そして前記保護層が、最高約475nmまでの波長を有する光を吸収する紫外光線吸収層を含む、請求項1に記載の画像再形成可能媒体。
- 画像形成用光線を受ける画像再形成可能な媒体であって、
前記媒体が、
第一の面と反対側の面とを有する基材と、
前記基材の第一の面に位置し、光吸収性物質を含む保護層と、
前記基材の反対側の面に位置し、異なった形態の間で可逆的に転化することが可能なフォトクロミック物質を含む画像形成層と、を含み、
ここで、前記媒体が、カラーコントラストの有る状態およびカラーコントラストの無い状態を示すことが可能であり、
前記媒体の有する特性が、前記媒体がカラーコントラストが無い状態を示しているときに、予め定められた画像に対応する前記画像形成用光線に露光させて、露光領域と非露光領域を与えると、前記露光領域と前記非露光領域との間にカラーコントラストが存在するようになって、前記予め定められた画像に対応する一時的画像が形成され、それを可視時間の間、目視可能とするものであり、
前記媒体の有する特性が、前記一時的画像を画像消去時間の間、屋内の周囲条件に暴露することによって、カラーコントラストの有る状態をカラーコントラストの無い状態へと変化させて、前記一時的画像を消去するものである、画像再形成可能媒体。 - 画像消去時間の間屋内の周囲条件に前記一時的画像を暴露させたときに、(i)前記屋内の周囲条件が、周囲温度で暗闇である場合、(ii)前記屋内の周囲条件が、周囲温度で屋内の通常の明るさがある場合、および(iii)前記屋内の周囲条件が、周囲温度で暗闇であるのと、周囲温度で屋内に通常の明るさがあるのとの両方である場合、の条件のそれぞれにおいて、カラーコントラストの有る状態がカラーコントラストの無い状態へと変化して前記一時的画像が消去され、前記媒体が、多数回の一時的画像形成と一時的画像消去のサイクルを実施することが可能である、請求項3に記載の画像再形成可能媒体。
