Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の提供する電磁放射線を反射するための装置は反射素子のアレイを有する。反射素子は、アンテナと、このアンテナと電気信号で通信する非理想的スイッチング素子と、含んでいる。アンテナは、非理想的スイッチング素子のインピーダンスの関数として構成される。

Description
上記関係式は、信号源インピーダンスと負荷インピーダンスとの間の複素反射係数に関する周知の公式を用いて導き出される。アンテナである信号源及び非理想的スイッチング素子である負荷を選択して、オン状態反射係数が、オフ状態反射係数の逆に等しくなるように設定することによって、方程式(1)が得られることになる。

Claims (9)
- 電磁放射線を反射するための装置であって、
反射素子のアレイを有し、
前記反射素子は、アンテナと、該アンテナと電気信号で通信する非理想的スイッチング素子と、含んでおり、
前記アンテナは、前記非理想的スイッチング素子のインピーダンスの関数として構成される、装置。 - 前記アンテナの物理的属性が、前記非理想的スイッチング素子のインピーダンスの関数として構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記アンテナが、オン状態にある場合、及び、オフ状態にある場合の非理想的スイッチング素子のインピーダンスの関数として構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記アンテナが、オン状態にある場合、及び、オフ状態にある場合の非理想的スイッチング素子のインピーダンスの平方根に対して共役化されたインピーダンスを備えるように構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記非理想的スイッチング素子が固体トランジスタである、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記アンテナのそれぞれが、その対応する固体トランジスタのドレインに接続された端子を備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記固体トランジスタの前記ドレインが短絡される、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記アンテナが、基板上に形成される平面パッチ・アンテナであり、前記非理想的スイッチング素子が、個別にパッケージ化された表面実装の固体トランジスタである、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記非理想的スイッチング素子が、20GHzを超える無線周波数において非理想的なオン及びオフ・インピーダンスを示す、請求項1に記載の装置。
