Abstract
【解決手段】デジタル信号処理部10は、送信対象データにデジタル変調を施した高周波信号を増幅する。包絡線検波部(DETenv)12は、高周波信号の包絡線電圧を生成する。コンパレータ14は、この包絡線電圧を基準電圧Vrefと比較し、2値出力を発生する。この2値出力に応じて、電力変換回路15は、電源電圧Vbattを電力変換して電力増幅器18用の電源電圧Vpaを出力する。例えば、包絡線電圧が基準電圧Vrefより大きい期間、電源電圧Vpaを、電圧V1からV2(>V1)に切り替える。

Claims (9)
- デジタル変調を施した高周波信号を増幅する電力増幅器と、
前記高周波信号の包絡線電圧に相当する包絡線信号を生成する包絡線信号生成手段と、
前記包絡線信号を所定の基準信号と比較する比較手段と、
前記比較手段の出力に応じて、電源電圧を電力変換する電力変換手段とを備え、
前記電力変換手段から出力される電圧を前記電力増幅器の電源電圧として利用することを特徴とする高周波電力増幅装置。 - 前記包絡線信号生成手段は、高周波信号を除去しつつ、包絡線成分のみ出力するよう機能する検波回路で構成したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の高周波電力増幅装置。
- 前記包絡線信号生成手段は、前記デジタル変調を施した高周波信号を生成するデジタル信号処理部により構成したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の高周波電力増幅装置。
- 前記所定の基準信号として、固定の基準電圧を利用することを特徴とする請求項1記載の高周波電力増幅装置。
- 前記高周波信号の平均電力に相当する直流に近い周波数の平均電力電圧を出力する平均値検出部を備え、前記所定の基準信号として、前記平均値検出部から出力される平均電力電圧を利用することを特徴とする請求項1記載の高周波電力増幅装置。
- 前記平均電力電圧の大きさに応じて前記平均値検出部の出力と所定の基準電圧とを切り替える切替手段を備え、この切替手段の出力を前記所定の基準信号として利用することを特徴とする請求項5記載の高周波電力増幅装置。
- 前記電力変換手段は、前記比較手段の出力に応じて、前記電源電圧に基づき第1の電圧とこの第1の電圧より高い第2の電圧とを切り替えて出力することを特徴とする請求項1記載の高周波電力増幅装置。
- 前記電力変換手段は、前記比較手段の2値の出力を入力とし、当該出力が第1のレベルのときは0ボルトを出力し、第2のレベルのときは付加電圧を出力する第1のDC−DCコンバータと、前記電源電圧に対して常に同じ出力直流電圧を出力する第2のDC−DCコンバータと、前記第1および第2のDC−DCコンバータの出力を互いに加算して出力する電圧加算部とにより構成されることを特徴とする請求項7記載の高周波電力増幅装置。
- 送信対象データにデジタル変調を施した高周波信号を生成するデジタル信号処理部と、
このデジタル信号処理部の出力の所望の帯域の信号を通過させる帯域通過フィルタと、
この帯域通過フィルタの出力を増幅する電力増幅器と、
前記高周波信号の包絡線電圧に相当する包絡線信号を生成する包絡線信号生成手段と、
前記包絡線信号を所定の基準信号と比較する比較手段と、
前記比較手段の出力に応じて、電源電圧を電力変換する電力変換手段とを備え、
前記電力変換手段から出力される電圧を前記電力増幅器の電源電圧として利用することを特徴とする送信装置。
