Description
溶融法を利用するポリカーボネートの製造法に使用するものとして数多くのエステル交換触媒が評価されて来ている。アルカリ金属水酸化物、特に水酸化ナトリウムは、エステル交換触媒として特に有効であることが立証されている。しかし、アルカリ金属水酸化物は有用な重合触媒ではあるものの、成長するポリカーボネート鎖に沿ってフリース反応を促進することも知られており、そのため枝分れポリカーボネートが生成する。ポリカーボネート鎖中に枝分れ部位が存在すると、ポリカーボネートのメルトフロー挙動が変わり得、その結果加工中に困難が生じ得る。

Claims (10)
- エステル交換触媒の存在下で1種以上のジヒドロキシ芳香族化合物と1種以上のジアリールカーボネートとを溶融重合条件下で反応させることを含んでなるポリカーボネートの製造方法であって、エステル交換触媒がリン酸の1種以上の混成アルカリ金属塩及び1種以上の助触媒を含んでおり、助触媒が第四アンモニウム塩、第四ホスホニウム塩又はこれらの混合物を含んでなる、方法。
- 前記混成アルカリ金属塩が、セシウム、ナトリウム及びカリウムアルカリ金属イオンからなる群から選択される2種以上のアルカリ金属イオンを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記塩が、リン酸1当量当たり0.85〜1.0当量のセシウム及び0.1〜0.6当量のナトリウムを含む、請求項2記載の方法。
- 前記混成アルカリ金属塩がカリウム及びナトリウムイオンを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記塩が、リン酸1当量当たり0.85〜1当量のカリウム及び0.1〜1.0当量のナトリウムを含む、請求項4記載の方法。
- 前記ジヒドロキシ芳香族化合物が次式の構造Iを有するビスフェノールである、請求項1記載の方法。
- エステル交換触媒の存在下で1種以上のジヒドロキシ芳香族化合物を1種以上のジアリールカーボネートと溶融重合条件下で接触させることを含んでなるポリカーボネートの製造方法であって、エステル交換触媒がリン酸の1種以上の混成アルカリ金属塩及び1種以上の助触媒を含んでなり、助触媒が第四アンモニウム塩、第四ホスホニウム塩又はこれらの混合物からなり、接触が2以上の段階で実施される、方法。
- エステル交換触媒の存在下でジフェニルカーボネートをビスフェノールAと180〜310℃の範囲の温度及び760〜1トルの範囲の圧力で接触させてビスフェノールAポリカーボネート生成物を得ることを含んでなるポリカーボネートの製造方法であって、エステル交換触媒がリン酸の1種以上の混成アルカリ金属塩及び1種以上の助触媒を含んでおり、助触媒が第四アンモニウム塩、第四ホスホニウム塩又はこれらの混合物を含む、方法。
