Abstract
Description
本発明はネットワークワイドな情報ブロードキャストを必要とせずにアドホック網内の個別の装置にネットワークデータおよびシステムアップグレードを提供するシステムおよび方法に関する。特に、本発明は、隣接装置間にデータおよびアップグレードに対する要求を生成してブロードキャストするシステムおよび方法に関し、個別の装置は隣接装置により提供される情報からシステムパラメータを更新することができ、このような転送が自動化される。
近年、“アドホック”網として知られる一種の移動通信網が開発されてきている。この種の網では、各ユーザ端末(以後“モバイルノード”と呼ぶ)が他のモバイルノードに対する基地局またはルータとして動作することができ、基地局の固定インフラストラクチュアを不要にする。したがって、発信元モバイルノードから受信先モバイルノードへ送られるデータパケットは、受信先ノードに達する前に、典型的にいくつかの中間モバイルノードにルーティングされる。
本発明の目的は、アドホックピア・ツー・ピア網内で情報を自己伝達するシステムおよび方法を提供することである。
本発明のこれらおよびその他の目的、利点および新しい機能は添付図と共に下記の詳細な説明を読めば一層容易に理解することができる。図1は本発明の実施例を利用するアドホックパケット交換無線通信網100の例を示すブロック図である。特に、網100は、複数の移動無線ユーザ端末102-1から102-n(一般的に、ノード102またはモバイルノード102と呼ばれる)を含み、必要ではないが、ノード102に固定網104へのアクセスを提供する複数のアクセスポイント106-1,106-2,...106-n(一般的に、ノード106またはアクセスポイント106と呼ばれる)を有する固定網104を含むことができる。固定網104は、たとえばコアローカルアクセス網(LAN)、および網ノードに他のアドホック網、公衆電話交換網(PSTN)およびインターネット等の他の網へのアクセスを提供する複数のサーバおよびゲートウェイルータを含むことができる。網104は、さらに、他のノード102,106または105間でデータパケットをルーティングする複数の固定ルータ105-1から105-n(一般的に、ノード105または固定ルータ105と呼ばれる)を含むことができる。この検討の目的のために、前記ノードは一まとめにして“ノード102,105および106”、または単に“ノード”と呼ぶことができる。
Claims (20)
- 無線アドホック通信網内のノードを制御して前記網内の複数の他のノードの少なくとも一つから情報を得る方法であって、
前記ノードを制御して前記複数のノードによる第1のノードグループへ第1の情報要求を送るステップと、
前記第1のノードグループを制御して前記第1の要求を受信し、それに応答して前記第1のノードグループのいずれかのノードが前記情報を提供することを許可されるかどうかを決定し、かつ前記第1のノードグループの前記許可された各ノードを制御して前記第1のノードへ初期リプライデータを送るステップと、
前記ノードを制御して、前記初期リプライデータに応答して、特定リプライデータに対する第2の要求を少なくとも一つの許可されたノードへ送り、かつ前記許可されたノードを制御して前記第1のノードへ前記特定リプライデータを送るステップと、
を含む方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、前記第1の要求は前記第1のノードグループの前記許可されたノードから入手可能な情報に対する要求を含み、前記情報はソフトウェアバージョン、システムパラメータおよび前記許可されたノードにおいて含まれる情報の少なくとも一つを示すデータを含む、前記方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法であって、前記初期リプライデータは前記許可されたノードから送られる前記入手可能な情報を示す許可されたノードからの応答を含む、前記方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法であって、前記ノードを制御して前記第2の要求を送るステップは、
前記初期リプライデータを解析して前記第2の要求が要求されるかどうかを決定するステップであって、前記第2の要求が前記許可されたノードから入手可能な特定情報に対する要求を含むステップを含む、前記方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、前記特定リプライデータは前記ノードにより要求された前記特定情報を含む許可されたノードからの応答を含む、前記方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法であって、さらに、
許可されたノードから受信した前記特定リプライデータに従って動作するように前記ノードを制御するステップを含む、前記方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、前記第1および第2の要求の各々がユニキャストメッセージとして送られる、前記方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法であって、前記初期リプライデータおよび特定リプライデータの各々が少なくとも一つのデータパケットを含む、前記方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法であって、さらに、
前記許可されたノードにより前記初期リプライデータが送られる前に前記ノードを認証するステップを含む、前記方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、前記方法は、さらに、前記ノードを制御して、前記初期リプライデータに応答して、特定データに対する前記第2の要求を前記網の少なくとも一つのインフラストラクチュア要素へ送り、かつ前記インフラストラクチュア要素を制御して前記第1のノードへ前記特定リプライデータを送るステップを含む、前記方法。
- アドホック通信網内の複数の他のノードの少なくとも一つから情報を得るようにされたアドホック通信網内のノードであって、
前記複数のノードの第1のノードグループへ第1の情報要求を送り、かつ前記複数の許可されたノードから初期リプライデータを受信して前記情報を提供するようにされたトランシーバと、
前記初期リプライデータを解析して第2の要求が要求されるかどうかを決定するコントローラであって、前記第2の要求は前記許可されたノードから入手可能な特定情報に対する要求を含むコントローラと、を含み、
前記トランシーバは、さらに、特定のリプライデータに対して少なくとも一つの許可されたノードへ前記第2の要求を送り、かつ前記許可されたノードから特定リプライデータを受信するようにされているノード。 - 請求項11に記載のノードであって、前記第1の要求は前記第1のノードグループの前記許可されたノードから入手可能な情報に対する要求を含み、前記情報はソフトウェアバージョン、システムパラメータおよび前記許可されたノードにおいて含まれる情報の少なくとも一つを示すデータを含む、前記ノード。
- 請求項11に記載のノードであって、前記初期リプライデータは前記許可されたノードから送られる前記入手可能な情報を示す許可されたノードからの応答を含む、前記ノード。
- 請求項11に記載のノードであって、前記特定リプライデータは前記ノードにより要求された前記特定情報を含む許可されたノードからの応答を含む、前記ノード。
- 請求項11に記載のノードであって、
