Abstract
【解決手段】 圧延金属板からなる円筒状のリム2備え、リム外周面の少なくともデザイン面側の端部近傍に、タイヤ5の内周縁部を係止するためのハンプ部22、23を、外方へ突出状に周設したホイール1において、アウタハンプ部22を肉寄せにより増厚形成して、アウタハンプ部22に対応するリム内周面を平坦な周面に形成しつつ、アウタハンプ部22を外方へ突出状に形成した。

Claims (5)
- 圧延金属板からなる円筒状のリムを備え、リム外周面の少なくともデザイン面側の端部近傍に、タイヤの内周縁部を係止するためのハンプ部を、外方へ突出状に周設したホイールにおいて、
前記ハンプ部を肉寄せにより増厚形成して、ハンプ部に対応するリム内周面を平坦な周面に形成しつつ、ハンプ部を外方へ突出状に形成した、
ことを特徴とするホイール。 - 前記リムの両端に形成されるリムフランジ部のうち、少なくともデザイン面側のリムフランジ部を肉寄せにより設定サイズに増厚形成した請求項1記載のホイール。
- 圧延金属板からなる素材板をダイスとポンチを用いてプレス成形して、端部に外方側へ延びるフランジ部を有する有底円筒状の一次成形品を製作するプレス工程と、一次成形品の底部を切除して円筒状の二次成形品を製作する切除工程と、二次成形品をローラにてリム形状に成形するスピニング工程とを備え、
前記プレス工程において、一次成形品のフランジ部及びその付近の板厚が素材板の板厚よりも15〜30%厚肉になるように、ポンチ挿入側端部の角部における曲率半径を設定したダイスを用いることで、一次成形品のフランジ部及びその付近をプレス成形時における肉寄せにより増厚形成し、
前記スピニング工程において、少なくともデザイン面側のハンプ部に対応する外周面を平坦な周面に形成したマンドレルを用い、フランジ部がデザイン面側になるように二次加工品をマンドレルに外装させて、ハンプ成形用ローラを二次成形品の増厚部分に圧接させて該ハンプ部を成形する、
ことを特徴とするホイールの製造方法。 - 前記ポンチ挿入側端部の角部における曲率半径を角部の外周側へ行くにしたがって段階的或いは連続的に大きく設定した請求項3記載のホイールの製造方法。
- 前記スピニング工程において、フランジ成形用ローラをフランジ部の端部に外方側から圧接させてリムフランジ部を成形する請求項3又は4記載のホイールの製造方法。
