Abstract
【解決手段】
【0005】二色性物質を含有する偏光板の片側に、その偏光板に由来する金属酸化性物質の流通を阻止する透明樹脂製のバリヤ層を介して、金属膜よりなる光反射層を有する積層シートからなり、かつ前記のバリヤ層と光反射層との間に、その光反射層に由来する金属イオンの流通を阻止する透明樹脂よりなる防イオン層を有する反射型偏光板、樹脂フィルム上に光反射層と防イオン層とバリヤ層が隣接配置されてなる光反射シートにおけるバリヤ層の上に接着層を介して偏光板を積層するにあたり、積層前の光反射シートを加熱処理すること、又は積層後にその積層体を加熱処理することの一方又は両方を施す前記反射型偏光板の製造方法、及び前記の反射型偏光板を有する画像表示装置。

Description
防イオン層を設けずに、バリヤ層の厚さを1.2μmとした以外は実施例1と同様にして光反射シートを得、それを用いて反射型偏光板を得た。
バリヤ層を設けずに、防イオン層の厚さを1.2μmとした以外は実施例1と同様にして光反射シートを得、それを用いて反射型偏光板を得た。
反射型偏光板の外観を目視評価し、良好な場合を○、所望の色との相違又はムラや皺の程度が著しい場合を×、それらの程度が小さい場合を△とした。
3cm角に裁断した反射型偏光板における剥離フィルムを剥がし、露出した粘着層を介しガラス板(5cm角、厚さ1mm)に接着して60℃、90%RHの恒温恒湿槽に500時間投入し、外観の変化を目視評価し、変色の無い場合を○、変色の程度が著しい場合を×、変色の程度が小さい場合を△とした。
3cm角に裁断した反射型偏光板における剥離フィルムを剥がし、露出した粘着層を介しガラス板(5cm角、厚さ1mm)に接着して10重量%NaC1水溶液で湿した後、60℃、90%RHの恒温恒湿槽に500時間投入し、外観の変化を目視評価し、変色の無い場合を○、変色した場合を×とした。
反射型偏光板における光反射シートと偏光板を強制的に剥離する操作を複数のサンプルについて行って、全て光反射シートと偏光板を接着する粘着層の界面で剥がれた場合を○、全て光反射シートのバリヤ層と防イオン層の界面で剥がれた場合を×、それらの両者が発生した場合を△とした。なお比較例では光反射層とバリヤ層又は防イオン層の界面で剥がれた場合を×とした。

Claims (9)
- 二色性物質を含有する偏光板の片側に、その偏光板に由来する金属酸化性物質の流通を阻止する透明樹脂製のバリヤ層を介して、金属膜よりなる光反射層を有する積層シートからなり、かつ前記のバリヤ層と光反射層との間に、その光反射層に由来する金属イオンの流通を阻止する透明樹脂よりなる防イオン層を有することを特徴とする反射型偏光板。
- 請求項1において、樹脂フィルム上に光反射層と防イオン層とバリヤ層が隣接配置されたものの当該バリヤ層の上に、接着層を介して偏光板が積層されてなる反射型偏光板。
- 請求項1又は2において、防イオン層がバリヤ層を形成する金属酸化性物質阻止性の透明樹脂を含有すること、又はバリヤ層が防イオン層を形成する金属イオン阻止性の透明樹脂を含有することの一方又は両方を満足する反射型偏光板。
- 上記の各請求項の一において、バリヤ層を形成する透明樹脂が、水、酸素及びハロゲンイオンの流通も阻止するものである反射型偏光板。
- 上記の各請求項の一において、偏光板における光反射層を有しない側に粘着層を有し、その粘着層の表面に剥離フィルムを有する反射型偏光板。
- 上記の各請求項の一において、偏光板がポリビニルアルコール系偏光フィルムからなり、バリヤ層がセルロース系樹脂、又は防イオン層がメラミン系樹脂からなる反射型偏光板。
- 樹脂フィルム上に光反射層と防イオン層とバリヤ層が隣接配置されてなる光反射シートにおけるバリヤ層の上に接着層を介して偏光板を積層するにあたり、積層前の光反射シートを加熱処理すること、又は積層後にその積層体を加熱処理することの一方又は両方を施すことを特徴とする上記2〜6の各請求項の一に記載の反射型偏光板の製造方法。
- 請求項7において、加熱処理温度が40〜200℃である反射型偏光板の製造方法。
- 上記1〜6の各請求項の一に記載の反射型偏光板を有することを特徴とする画像表示装置。
