Abstract
【解決手段】エンジン10の排気管24には、排出ガス中のCO,HC,NOx等を浄化するための三元触媒等の触媒31が設けられている。ECU40は、燃料カット状態が所定時間継続された場合に触媒31の酸素貯蔵量が多いリーン状態であることを判定し、触媒リーン状態であると判定され且つエンジン10が所定の運転負荷以上となる場合に、排気中のNOx量を抑制するためのNOx抑制制御を実施する。また、触媒リーン状態から復帰したと判定した時にNOx抑制制御を終了する。

Claims (12)
- 内燃機関から排出される排気を浄化するための触媒装置を備えた内燃機関の制御装置において、
前記触媒装置内の酸素貯蔵量が多いリーン状態であることを判定する触媒リーン状態判定手段と、
前記触媒リーン状態判定手段により前記触媒装置がリーン状態であると判定され且つ内燃機関がNOxの生成が多くなる所定の負荷以上となる場合に、排気中のNOx量を抑制するためのNOx抑制制御を実施するNOx抑制制御手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記NOx抑制制御手段は、前記内燃機関を搭載した車両の走行速度に応じてNOx抑制制御量を設定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記NOx抑制制御手段は、車両の走行速度が高いほど、NOx抑制制御量を小さくし、車両の走行速度が低いほど、NOx抑制制御量を大きくすることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記NOx抑制制御手段は、車両の走行速度が所定速度以上である場合にNOx抑制制御を実施しないことを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記触媒装置のリーン状態下で燃料供給が実施される際、空燃比をリッチ側に制御する手段を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項1乃至4の何れかに記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記触媒リーン状態判定手段は、内燃機関への燃料供給を停止した状態が所定時間以上継続した時に前記触媒装置がリーン状態であると判定することを特徴とする請求項1乃至5の何れかに記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記触媒リーン状態判定手段は、前記触媒装置の酸素貯蔵量を推定し、その酸素貯蔵量に基づいて触媒装置がリーン状態であると判定することを特徴とする請求項1乃至5の何れかに記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記触媒装置がリーン状態から復帰したことを判定する復帰判定手段と、
前記復帰判定手段により触媒装置がリーン状態から復帰したと判定された時に前記NOx抑制手段のNOx抑制制御を終了する制御終了手段と、
を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項1乃至7の何れかに記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記復帰判定手段は、前記触媒装置がリーン状態であると判定された後、燃焼状態が所定時間以上継続した時に触媒装置がリーン状態から復帰したと判定することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記復帰判定手段は、前記触媒装置の酸素貯蔵量を推定し、その酸素貯蔵量に基づいて触媒装置がリーン状態から復帰したと判定することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記NOx抑制制御手段は、NOx抑制制御として、点火時期の遅角制御を実施することを特徴とする請求項1乃至10の何れかに記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記NOx抑制制御手段は、NOx抑制制御として、吸気系に再循環されるEGR量の増加制御を実施することを特徴とする請求項1乃至10の何れかに記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
