Abstract
【解決手段】 デテクタモジュール25は、光源26とフォトデテクタ27とを備える。回転を検出する対象の軸とともに回転するドラム22の表面にはストライプ状の非反射性領域23が等間隔で設けられる。光源26からの光が反射性の領域で反射されてフォトデテクタ27に導かれる際、ドラム22表面の円筒面形状が有する光学的作用により拡大される。

Description
[1] 軸(21)により特性付けられる円筒形の表面を有し、前記軸に対して垂直方向に延在する法線を持つ表面を有するドラム(22)と、
前記円筒形表面上に交互に配された複数の反射性及び非反射性のストライプを有する第一のトラックと、
前記法線に対して角度を有するように前記ストライプを照明する第一の光源(26)と、
前記ドラムがフォトデテクタに対して移動した場合に前記反射性のストライプから反射された前記光源からの光を受光するように配置された第一のフォトデテクタ(27)と
を具備し、前記反射性のストライプは前記光源の画像を前記第一のフォトデテクタ上に形成するものであることを特徴とするエンコーダ。
[2] 前記光源が平行光線を放射するものであることを特徴とする上記[1]に記載のエンコーダ。
[3] シャフトが回転した場合に前記ドラムが前記軸を中心として回転するものであることを特徴とする上記[1]に記載のエンコーダ。
[4] 前記シャフトと前記軸とが同軸上にあることを特徴とする上記[3]に記載のエンコーダ。
[5] 前記円筒形表面が前記トラックと前記軸との間にあることを特徴とする上記[1]に記載のエンコーダ。
[6] 前記トラックが前記円筒形表面と前記軸との間にあることを特徴とする上記[1]に記載のエンコーダ。
[7] 前記円筒形表面上に交互に配置された複数の反射性及び非反射性のストライプを有する第二のトラックと、前記第二のトラックの前記ストライプを前記法線に対して角度を有するように照明する第二の光源と、前記第二のトラックの前記反射性のストライプから反射された前記光源からの光を受光するように配置された第二のフォトデテクタを更に具備し、前記ドラムが前記第一、第二のフォトデテクタに対して移動することを特徴とする上記[1]に記載のエンコーダ。
[8] 前記第二のトラックの前記反射性ストライプの幅が、前記第一のトラックの前記反射性ストライプの幅と異なることを特徴とする上記[7]に記載のエンコーダ。

Claims (1)
- 軸により特性付けられる円筒形の表面を有し、前記軸に対して垂直方向に延在する法線を持つ表面を有するドラムと、
前記円筒形表面上に交互に配された複数の反射性及び非反射性のストライプを有する第一のトラックと、
前記法線に対して角度を有するように前記ストライプを照明する第一の光源と、
前記ドラムがフォトデテクタに対して移動した場合に前記反射性のストライプから反射された前記光源からの光を受光するように配置された第一のフォトデテクタと
を具備し、前記反射性のストライプは前記光源の画像を前記第一のフォトデテクタ上に形成するものであることを特徴とするエンコーダ。
