従来、排土作業などに使用するブレード装置を備えた作業機械としては、例えば、特開2000−96602号公報または特許第2855579号に記載されている構成が知られている。この作業機械では、機械本体の両側の走行装置の幅を可変するのに対応して、機械本体に取り付けられたブレード装置の幅を変更可能としている。

このように幅を変更可能としたブレード装置では、幅方向に長尺の本体ブレード体が一定の幅寸法に設けられており、拡幅時には本体ブレード体の幅方向の端部に拡幅ブレード体を取り付け、また、拡幅ブレード体を使用しない縮幅時すなわち拡幅ブレード体の収納時には本体ブレード体の背面側に拡幅ブレード体を取り付けて収納するようにした構成がある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、特開2000−96602号公報に記載のブレード装置では、拡幅ブレード体にかかる前後方向の負荷を受け止めるために2本のピンを必要とし、これら2本のピンの抜き差し操作が容易でなく、さらに、拡幅ブレード体にかかる前後方向の負荷をピンで受け止めなければならず、ピンの部分に大きな負担がかかる問題がある。

また、特許第2855579号に記載のブレード装置では、取付軸を取付筒に挿入することで、拡幅ブレード体にかかる前後方向の負荷を取付筒で受け止めるため、回り止めおよび抜け止めのためにピンは1本でよいものの、取付軸を中心とした拡幅ブレードの回転方向の負荷をピンで受け止めなければならず、ピンの部分に大きな負担がかかる問題がある。また、拡幅ブレード体は、取付軸が取付筒に対して回転可能であり、取付軸を中心として拡幅ブレード体が下方に向く重心バランスを有しているため、ピンの挿入時には、拡幅ブレード体を重心バランスに抗して支持しながら、取付筒の取付孔と取付軸の取付孔とを位置合わせし、ピンを挿入しなければならず、ピンの挿入が容易でなく、また、ピンの引き抜き時には、拡幅ブレード体の重心バランスに伴って回転しようとする取付軸の取付孔の縁部がピンに圧接し、ピンを引き抜くのが容易でない問題がある。

請求項1に記載された発明は、幅方向に長尺に設けられた本体ブレード、および本体ブレードの背面の幅方向の端部に設けられ幅方向に向けて開口しかつ幅方向と交差する方向の断面が非円形の取付孔が形成された取付部を有する本体ブレード体と、本体ブレードの幅方向の端部に配置可能な拡幅ブレード、および拡幅ブレードの背面に設けられ本体ブレード体の取付孔に挿脱可能に嵌合する嵌合部を有し、嵌合部が取付孔の外端側から嵌合して拡幅ブレードが本体ブレードの端部に配置される拡幅ブレード体と、本体ブレード体の取付孔に嵌合した拡幅ブレード体の嵌合部を着脱可能に係止する係止具とを具備したブレード装置であり、嵌合部を取付孔の外端側から嵌合して拡幅ブレード体を本体ブレード体の端部に配置した拡幅時において、拡幅ブレード体にかかる負荷をボックス構造の取付部で受け止めることができ、そのため、係止具は嵌合部の抜け止めとして機能するだけで、係止具にかかる負担を軽減でき、係止具の着脱も容易にできる。
