基材に強固に接着固定可能な防水シートの固定方法を提
供する。 【解決手段】下地基材に接合部材を固定する接合部材固
定工程、下地基材に防水シート14を敷設するシート敷
設工程、及び防水シート14の接合部材固定部位に電磁
誘導加熱器Sを当接して加熱して防水シート14を接合
部材2に接着する接着工程を有し、防水シート14が加
硫ゴムシートであり、接合部材2は電磁誘導加熱可能な
金属材料4にて形成され、かつ表面にはラジカル重合性
官能基を有する接着樹脂層6が形成されている防水シー
トの施工方法とする。

すべき下地基材上に生産工場において製造した一定幅の
防水シートを敷設し、少なくとも幅方向に重ねて接合す
ると共に下地基材に固定することにより行われる。

うに、平坦な接着部を有する導体片をアンカー材にて下
地基材に固定し、その接着部表面に熱溶着剤層を設け、
防水シートを敷設した後に、導体片部分に電磁誘導加熱
装置を当接させて加熱し、熱溶着剤層を溶融させて防水
シートに接着させることにより、防水シートを下地基材
に固定する技術が公知である。

り、係る防水シートの固定には特開平4−254649
号公報に開示された技術は、熱可塑性樹脂であるポリ塩
化ビニルが接着界面で溶融して接着剤と強く接着する作
用も有するため、有効である。
架橋構造のために加熱溶融しにくく、接着性に乏しい材
料である。特に耐候性に優れたEPDMを主成分とする
加硫ゴム防水シートは、EPDM自体が接着性がよくな
い材料であるためにとりわけ接着性が悪く、上記公報開
示の技術では十分な接着強度が得られない。

部材に接着する接着工程とを有し、前記防水シートが加
硫ゴムシートであり、前記接合部材は電磁誘導加熱可能
な金属材料にて形成され、かつ表面にはラジカル重合性
官能基を有する接着樹脂層が形成されていることを特徴
とする。
官能基を有する接着樹脂を使用することにより、防水シ
ートが加硫ゴムシートであっても、電磁誘導加熱により
接合部材と強固に接着することができた。ラジカル重合
性官能基を有する接着樹脂を使用することにより加硫ゴ
ムシートの接着性が改善される理由は明らかではない
が、加硫ゴムシートに残存する加硫剤ないし加硫促進剤
が接着樹脂に存在するラジカル重合性官能基と反応して
結合することが一つの接着力向上作用であろうと推測さ
れる。
未加硫ゴムシートを接合部剤と加硫ゴム防水シートの間
に介在させて接合する方法も考えられるが、未加硫ゴム
シートを使用する方法では加硫に時間がかかると共に未
加硫ゴムシートの保存中の反応の進行を防止するための
保管が困難である。

を有する化合物とを含む組成物であってもよいが、ラジ
カル重合性官能基を有しない樹脂とラジカル重合性官能
基を有する化合物とを含む組成物が、容易に調製可能で
あり、しかも接着対象のシートの性質に応じて組成を変
更して接着力を改良することができ、好ましい。

体等のポリオレフィン系樹脂、ポリエステル系ホットメ
ルト接着剤、エチレン酢酸ビニル系ホットメルト接着剤
等が例示される。これらの中でも加硫EPDM系防水シ
ートの接着には、ポリオレフィン系樹脂の使用が好まし
い。
脂と混合して接着樹脂とするラジカル重合性官能基を有
する化合物としては、ラジカル重合性官能基を有するオ
リゴマーや重合体であることが好ましく、液状ポリブタ
ジエン、液状ポリイソプレン等のジエン系モノマーのオ
リゴマー、EPDM,BR等の重合度の高い重合体が例
示される。
ジカル重合性官能基を有する化合物とは完全に相溶して
いてもよく、相溶せずにミクロ的には分離し、例えば海
島構造を有するものであってもよい。
可塑剤ないしプロセスオイル、無機粉末や有機樹脂粉末
等の充填剤等の添加剤を添加してもよい。
導加熱により接着樹脂が溶融して防水シートとある程度
の強度で接着し、その後防水ゴムシート中の加硫剤ない
し加硫促進剤が徐々に接着樹脂中のラジカル重合性官能
基を有する化合物と反応・架橋して最終的に強い接着が
形成されるものと考えられる。

きる他のゴム材料としては、ブチルゴム(IIR)が好
ましい。EPDMとIIRを併用する場合、その混合比
率は、EPDM/IIR=100/0〜60/40(重
量比)の範囲であることが好ましい。加硫剤は過酸化物
であってもよいが、硫黄であることが好ましく、硫黄は
ゴム材料100重量部に対して0.5〜2.0重量部程
度使用する。

着樹脂層が薄すぎると電磁誘導加熱して接着樹脂が流動
可能になったときに加硫ゴムシートと接触しない部分が
発生しやすくなり、厚すぎると防水シートの固定面が浮
き上がって外観が低下する。

縦断側面図である。接合部材2は、金属円板4と接着樹
脂層6とからなる円盤状であって、中央にアンカー材を
挿通する孔8が形成されており、周縁部は傾斜をもって
薄肉に形成されている。図2に示した接合部材2は、例
えば円板を打ち抜き、プレス成形することにより製造可
能である。

徐々に接着樹脂に含まれるラジカル重合反応性基と反
応、架橋し、強固な接着が形成される。
下地基材に固定されると共にその上に未加硫ゴムシート
18を載置し、その上に他の防水シートの端部を重畳し
て接合される。
施例等について説明する。

部、亜鉛華5重量部、ステアリン酸2重量部、硫黄1.
5重量部、加硫促進剤3.0重量部を含む未加硫ゴム組
成物を常法により混練して作製し、加硫して厚さ1.5
mmの加硫ゴム防水シートとした。接合部材の上に防水
シートを敷設し、防水シートの上から電磁誘導加熱装置
を当接して10秒加熱し、接着して接着強度測定サンプ
ルとした。1時間放置後、接着強度を測定した。接着強
度は、JIS K 6854(接着剤のはく離接着強さ
試験方法)の180度はく離接着強さの測定方法に準拠
して測定した。クロスヘッドの移動速度は500mm/
minとした。上記サンプルの接着強度は、150N/
25mmであり、防水シートの材料破壊であった。
えてEVA系ホットメルト接着剤を使用した以外は実施
例と同様にして接着試験を行ったところ、接着強度は低
く、界面剥離が発生した。

Claims (3)
- 【請求項1】 下地基材に接合部材を固定する接合部材
固定工程、前記下地基材に防水シートを敷設するシート
敷設工程、及び前記防水シートの接合部材固定部位に電
磁誘導加熱器を当接して加熱し、前記防水シートを前記
接合部材に接着する接着工程とを有し、 前記防水シートが加硫ゴムシートであり、前記接合部材
は電磁誘導加熱可能な金属材料にて形成され、かつ表面
にはラジカル重合性官能基を有する接着樹脂層が形成さ
れていることを特徴とする防水シートの施工方法。 - 【請求項2】 前記防水シートは、エチレンプロピレン
ゴム(EPDM)をゴム材料の主成分とするものである
請求項1に記載の防水シートの施工方法。 - 【請求項3】 前記接着樹脂が、熱可塑性ポリオレフィ
ン系樹脂と未加硫EPDMとを含む組成物である請求項
1又は2に記載の防水シートの施工方法。
