Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.試料中の生物学的物質の量の検出法であって、 前記試料を液体化させ(必要の場合)、そして概ね平らな水平の表面を有するイ ンキュベート用平板中に液体化試料を注ぐこと、ここで、前記表面は複数の少な くとも20個の窪んだウエルを画定し、各ウエルは液体のアリコートを保持する ようになっておりしかも表面張力によりまたは前記液体のゲル化により前記アリ コートを各ウエル内に保持するような大きさおよび形状にされならびにそれに適 した材料から形成されている; 前記インキュベート用平板から過剰の液体を流出させること;そして 前記インキュベート用平板を、前記ウエルの1以上中でで前記生物学的物質の 有無が決定されるまでインキュベートし、その結果前記生物学的物質の量を決定 できる、各工程を含む前記試料中の生物学的物質の量の検出法。 2.前記表面が少なくとも40個の窪んだウエルを画定する請求の範囲第1項 に記載の方法。 3.前記表面が少なくとも60個の窪んだウエルを画定する請求の範囲第1項 に記載の方法。 4.前記表面が少なくとも90個の窪んだウエルを画定する請求の範囲第1項 に記載の方法。 5.前記表面が少なくとも200個の窪んだウエルを画定する請求の範囲第1 項に記載の方法。 6.前記平板がプラスチックから形成される請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 7.前記プラスチックがPVCである請求の範囲第6項に記載の方法。 8.前記プラスチックが疎水性材料から形成される請求の範囲第6項に記載の 方法。 9.前記平板の形状が概ね円形である請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 10.前記平板がウエル中の液体の汚染を防止するために蓋を備えている請求 の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 11.前記平板が透明である請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 12.前記平板が着色されている請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 13.着色が黄色である請求の範囲第12項に記載の方法。 14.前記各ウエルが直径約0.15インチである請求の範囲第1項に記載の 方法。 15.前記各ウエルが過剰の液体の除去を促進させるために面取りがされてい る請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 16.前記平板が直径約3インチである請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 17.前記平板が直径約5インチである請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 18.前記平板が、当該平板からウエル中に存在しない過剰の液体の除去を促 進させる流出口を有する請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 19.前記ウエルが全部で5〜100ml保持する請求の範囲第1項に記載の 方法。 20.前記平板が無菌である請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 21.前記平板がその表面に隣接して流出用ポケットをさらに含み、このポケ ットが前記過剰の液体を含有するようになっており、そして 前記過剰の液体がインキュベート前に前記インキュベート用平板の表面から前 記流出用ポケット中に注がれる請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 22.前記流出用ポケットが吸収剤材料を含有する請求の範囲第21項に記載 の方法。 23.前記平板が、前記ウエルへの試料の分散前に液体化試料を保持するのに 足る大きさの「ランデイングパッド」領域を含む請求の範囲第23項に記載の方 法。 24.前記方法が、前記試料を前記「ランデイングパッド」に施用し、次いで さらに液体を与え、前記試料を希釈すると共に前記試料を前記ウエル中に分散す ることを含む請求の範囲第23項に記載の方法。 25.前記平板がその表面に隣接して流出用ポケットをさらに含み、このポケ ットが前記過剰の液体を含有するようになっており、そして 前記過剰の液体がインキュベート前に前記インキュベート用平板から前記流出 用ポケット中に注がれる請求の範囲第23項に記載の方法。 26.前記インキュベート用平板が流出口をさらに含み、当該平板が前記流出 口と協同するようになっているスリットを有する蓋をさらに含み、過剰の液体が 平板から流出させることができ、前記蓋中の前記スリットおよび前記インキュベ ート用平板中の前記流出口の分離ができ、それにより蒸発による前記ウエルから の液体の顕著な損失がなくてインキュベート用平板のインキュベートができる請 求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 27.概ね平らな水平の表面を有し、生物学的物質の量を決定するための無菌 インキュベート用平板であり、ここで、前記表面は複数の少なくとも20個の窪 んだウエルを画定し、各ウエルは液体のアリコートを保持するようになっており しかも前記アリコートを各ウエル内に表面張力により保持するような大きさおよ び形状にされならびにそれに適した材料から形成されており; 前記インキュベート用平板は当該平板に施用された試料中に存在する前記生物 学的物質の不存在下では当該生物学的物質のいずれの陽性応答をも与えない無菌 インキュベート用平板。 28.前記表面が少なくとも40個の窪んだウエルを画定する請求の範囲第2 7項に記載の平板。 29.前記表面が少なくとも60個の窪んだウエルを画定する請求の範囲第2 7項に記載の平板。 30.前記表面が少なくとも90個の窪んだウエルを画定する請求の範囲第2 7項に記載の平板。 31.前記表面が少なくとも200個の窪んだウエルを画定する請求の範囲第 27項に記載の平板。 32.前記平板がプラスチックから形成される請求の範囲第27項に記載の平 板。 33.前記プラスチックがPVCである請求の範囲第32項に記載の平板。 34.前記プラスチックが疎水性材料から形成される請求の範囲第32項に記 載の平板。 35.前記平板の形状が概ね円形である請求の範囲第27項に記載の平板。 36.前記インキュベート用平板が前記ウエル中の液体の汚染を防止するため に蓋を備えている請求の範囲第27項に記載の平板。 37.前記平板が透明である請求の範囲第27項に記載の平板。 38.前記平板が着色されている請求の範囲第27項に記載の平板。 39.着色が白色または黄色である請求の範囲第38項に記載の平板。 40.前記各ウエルが直径約0.15インチである請求の範囲第27項に記載 の平板。 41.前記平板が直径約3インチである請求の範囲第27項に記載の平板。 42.前記平板が直径約5インチである請求の範囲第27項に記載の平板。 43.前記平板が当該平板からウエル中に保持されない過剰の液体を除去でき る蓋を有する請求の範囲第27項に記載の平板。 44.前記ウエルが全部で5〜100ml保持する請求の範囲第27項に記載 の平板。 45.前記平板の表面に隣接して流出用ポケットをさらに含み、このポケット が前記平板の前記表面から除去される過剰の液体を含有するようになっている請 求の範囲第27項に記載の無菌インキュベート用平板。 46.前記平板が、前記ウエルへの試料のアリコート化前に試料を保持する用 になっている「ランデイングパッド」を含む請求の範囲第27項に記載の無菌イ ンキュベート用平板。 47.前記「ランデイングパッド」の直径が少なくとも1インチである請求の 範囲第46項に記載の無菌インキュベート用平板。 48.前記平板が流出口を有する請求の範囲第46項に記載の無菌インキュベ ート用平板。 49.前記平板が前記流出口と協同するようになっているスリットを有する蓋 をさらに含み、インキュベート用平板から液体の除去ができる請求の範囲第48 項に記載の無菌インキュベート用平板。 50.前記平板の表面に隣接して流出用ポケットをさらに含み、このポケット が前記平板の前記表面から除去される過剰の液体を含有するようになっている請 求の範囲第46項に記載の無菌インキュベート用平板。 51.前記流出用ポケット内に吸収剤材料をさらに含有する請求の範囲第50 項に記載の無菌インキュベート用平板。
