Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.遠隔局が複数のサブチャネル信号を含むリバースリンク信号を送信するワイ ヤレス通信システムの基地局において使用する電力制御サブシステムにおいて、 前記リバースリンク信号を受信し、前記リバースリンク信号を復調して前記複 数のサブチャネル信号を供給する受信機手段と、 前記複数のサブチャネル信号のそれぞれを受取り、前記サブチャネル信号のそ れぞれの品質を測定する品質測定手段と、 前記複数のサブチャネル信号のそれぞれの送信電力を独立的に調整することが できるように、前記複数のサブチャネル信号の少なくとも1つの送信電力を調整 する電力制御メッセージを発生するメッセージ発生器手段とを具備する電力制御 サブシステム。 2.前記受信機手段が、 疑似ランダム雑音(PN)シーケンスにしたがって前記リバースリンク信号を 復調して、遠隔局信号を供給するPN復調器手段と、 それぞれ前記遠隔局信号を受取り、直交復調シーケンスにしたがって前記遠隔 局信号を復調して、前記サブチャネル信号の対応する1つを供給する複数の直交 復調器手段とを備える請求項1記載の電力制御サブシステム。 3.前記品質測定手段が、 それぞれ前記サブチャネル信号の対応する1つを受取り、予め定められた時間 期間に対して前記サブチャネル信号のエネルギを累算して、累算されたサブチャ ネルエネルギを供給する複数の累算器手段と、 前記累算サブチャネルエネルギを受取り、前記累算サブチャネルエネルギのそ れぞれを複数のしきい値の対応するしきい値と比較する比較器手段とを備える請 求項1または2記載の電力制御サブシステム。 4.前記品質測定手段が、 それぞれ対応するサブチャネル信号を受取り、前記サブチャネル信号中のフレ ームエラーの存在を決定する複数のデコーダ手段と、 前記決定されたフレームエラーに基づくフレームエラーレートをフレームエラ ーレートしきい値と比較する比較器手段とを備える請求項1ないし3のいずれか 1項記載の電力制御サブシステム。 5.前記品質測定手段が、前記サブチャネルのそれぞれに対する測定されたフレ ームエラーレートにしたがって前記複数のしきい値を発生するしきい値発生器手 段をさらに備える請求項3または4記載の電力制御サブシステム。 6.前記電力制御メッセージが複数のビットを含み、各ビットが前記複数のサブ チャネルの1つに命令して、予め定められた量だけ前記サブチャネルの送信電力 を増加または減少させる請求項1ないし5のいずれか1項記載の電力制御サブシ ステム。 7.前記電力制御メッセージが複数の利得値を含み、各利得値が前記複数のサブ チャネルの1つに適用されて、前記サブチャネルの送信電力が制御される請求項 1ないし6のいずれか1項記載の電力制御サブシステム。 8.前記電力制御メッセージが複数の値を含み、各値が1ビットより多くかつ全 体的な利得値を決定するのに必要な数よりも少ないものから構成され、前記複数 の値のそれぞれが前記複数のサブチャネルの1つに命令して、予め定められた量 だけ乗算された前記値だけ前記サブチャネルの送信電力を増加または減少させる 請求項1ないし7のいずれか1項記載の電力制御サブシステム。 9.変調フォーマットにしたがって前記電力制御メッセージを変調する変調器を さらに具備する請求項1ないし8のいずれか1項記載の電力制御サブシステム。 10.前記変調器が、CDMAフォーマットにしたがって変調ずる変調器を備え る請求項9記載の電力制御サブシステム。 11.前記品質測定手段が、 それぞれ前記サブチャネル信号の対応する1つを受取り、予め定められた時間 期間に対して前記サブチャネル信号のエネルギを累算して、累算されたサブチャ ネルエネルギを供給する複数の累算器手段と、 前記累算サブチャネルエネルギを受取り、前記累算サブチャネルエネルギのそ れぞれを複数のしきい値の対応するしきい値と比較する比較器手段とを備える請 求項2記載の電力制御サブシステム。 12.前記品質測定手段が、 それぞれ対応するサブチャネル信号を受取り、前記サブチャネル信号中のフレ ームエラーの存在を決定ずる複数のデコーダ手段と、 前記決定されたフレームエラーに基づくフレームエラーレートをフレームエラ ーレートしきい値と比較する比較器手段とを備える請求項2項記載の電力制御サ ブシステム。 13.前記品質測定手段が、前記サブチャネルのそれぞれに対する測定されたフ レームエラーレートにしたがって前記複数のしきい値を発生するしきい値発生器 手段をさらに備える請求項11記載の電力制御サブシステム。 14.前記電力制御メッセージが複数のビットを含み、各ビットが前記複数のサ ブチャネルの1つに命令して、予め定められた量だけ前記サブチャネルの送信電 力を増加または減少させる請求項2記載の電力制御サブシステム。 15.前記電力制御メッセージが複数の利得値を含み、各利得値が前記複数のサ ブチャネルの1つに適用されて、前記サブチャネルの送信電力が制御される請求 項2項記載の電力制御サブシステム。 16.前記電力制御メッセージが複数の値を含み、各値が1ビットより多くかつ 全体的な利得値を決定するのに必要な数よりも少ないものから構成され、前記複 数の値のそれぞれが前記複数のサブチャネルの1つに命令して、予め定められた 量だけ乗算された前記値だけ前記サブチャネルの送信電力を増加または減少させ る請求項8記載の電力制御サブシステム。 17.変調フォーマットにしたがって前記電力制御メッセージを変調する変調器 をさらに具備する請求項2記載の電力制御サブシステム。 18.前記変調器が、CDMAフォーマットにしたがって変調する変調器を備え る請求項17記載の電力制御サブシステム。 19.複数のサブチャネル信号を含むリバースリンク信号を送信ずる遠隔局用の 電力制御サブシステムにおいて、 電力制御メッセージを受信し、前記電力制御メッセージに基づいて複数の利得 値を供給する受信機手段と、 受信された電力制御メッセージに基づいて前記サブチャネル信号のそれぞれの 送信電力を独立的に調整することができるようにするために、それぞれ対応する サブチャネル信号と対応する利得値を受取り、前記利得値にしたがって前記サブ チャネル信号の利得を調整するように構成された複数の利得調整手段とを具備す る電力制御サブシステム。 20.複数のサブチャネル信号を含むリバースリンク信号を送信ずる遠隔局の送 信電力を制御する方法において、 前記リバースリンク信号を受信し、 前記リバースリンク信号を復調して、前記複数のサブチャネル信号を獲得し、 前記複数のサブチャネル信号の少なくとも1つの送信電力を調整する際に使用 する電力制御メッセージを発生し、 前記複数のサブチャネル信号のそれぞれの送信電力を独立的に調整することが できるように、前記電力制御メッセージを遠隔局に送信するステップを含む方法 。
