Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 有機材料の活性層を有する電界発光材料の層を有している電界発光装置であ って、その層が、第一および第二の電極パターンの間に位置し、前記2つのパ ターンのうちの少なくとも1つが、前記活性層によって発せられる光に対し透 明であり、そして、第一パターンが、発光のためにバイアス電圧またはバイア ス電流を加えることによって、電荷担体を注入するために適切に使用すること ができる材料を有していて、そして、当該装置が、前記活性層の一部にバイア ス電圧を加えるための、または前記活性層の一部に流れるバイアス電流を設定 するためのコントロールユニットを有している、電界発光装置において、前記 コントロールユニットが、前記活性層の一部に電圧を加え、前記関連電流値を 測定し、そして当該測定された電流値に応じて、前記バイアス電圧またはバイ アス電流を変化させる手段を有することを特徴とする電界発光装置。 2. 前記コントロールユニットが、逆方向の電圧を前記活性層の一部に加える手 段を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電界発光装置。 3. 前記電流が、繰り返し測定されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電界発 光装置。 4. 前記電流が、前記活性層の異なる部分にわたって、交互に測定されることを 特徴とする請求項3に記載の電界発光装置。 5. 前記バイアス電圧が、前記活性層の異なる部分にわたって測定される前記電 流値の平均によって決定されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の電界発光装 置。 6. 前記バイアス電圧が、前記活性層の異なる部分について測定された電流値の 間の差によって決定され、前記2つの部分のうちの一方が、入射光から保護さ れていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電界発光装置。 7. 請求項1に記載の電界発光装置を有している表示装置。
