Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a subseal weather strip preventing water from a door trim from entering the inside of a vehicle along a subseal. SOLUTION: In the mounting structure of the subseal weather strip 3 attached to a peripheral fringe of the door trim 1 of an automobile, a recessed part 2 for mounting is formed in a peripheral fringe end part 1a of the door trim 1, the subseal 3 is formed by providing a hooklike mounting part 4 close to a hollow main body part 3a, and the subseal 3 is attached by inserting an insertion part 6 provided with a locking projection 5 in the mounting part 4 into the recessed part 2 for mounting of the door trim 1.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a structure for mounting a sub-seal weather strip mounted on the periphery of a door trim of an automobile to prevent noise such as road noise.

2. Description of the Related Art A door trim 7 is mounted on an inner panel P of a door of an automobile door D shown in FIG. 5 as shown in FIG.

In order to achieve the above object, the construction of the present invention is, as shown in FIG. 1, in a mounting structure of a sub-seal weather strip 3 mounted on the periphery of a door trim 1 of an automobile. The sub-seal 3 has a hook-shaped mounting portion 4 beside the hollow main body portion 3a.
The sub-seal 3 is attached by inserting the insertion portion 6 having the retaining projection 5 of the attachment portion 4 into the attachment groove 2 of the door trim 1.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Embodiments of the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the drawings. In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a door trim attached to an inner panel P of an automobile door, and a mounting groove 2 is formed in a peripheral edge 1a as shown in FIG. 2 (a). The sub-seal 3 attached to the periphery of the door trim 1 has a hook-shaped attachment portion 4 beside the hollow body 3a as shown in FIG. 2B. The mounting portion 4 has an insertion portion 6 provided with a reverse fin-shaped retaining projection 5. As another mode of the insertion portion 6, FIG.

The mounting operation is very easy, and the insertion portion 6 is hard to come out of the concave groove 2 after the mounting due to the retaining action of the projection 5, and the concave groove 2 and the insertion portion 6 come into close contact after the mounting. The path of inundation from the door trim to the vehicle interior is shut off to prevent ingress into the interior.

According to the mounting structure of the sub-seal of the present invention, the mounting portion of the sub-seal can be attached to the peripheral edge of the door trim and can be easily mounted. It is advantageous in that it can be prevented from entering the room and that the sub-seal can be easily attached.

A mounting structure for a hollow sub-seal weather strip mounted on a peripheral edge of a door trim of an automobile, wherein a mounting recess groove is formed at a peripheral edge of the door trim, and the sub-seal weather strip is mounted on a hollow main body. The subseal weather strip is attached by inserting an insertion portion having a retaining projection of the attachment portion into the attachment groove of the door trim.
