Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.一般構造(1)で表されるポリマーの合成方法であって、 (A) (a)CH2=CHYと、 (b)任意選択で、CH2=CXBと、 (c)フリーラジカル供給源から生成したフリーラジカルと を接触させることと、 (上式で、 Xは、ハロゲン、または任意選択で置換されたC1〜C4アルキル(この場合、 該置換基は、ヒドロキシ、アルコキシもしくはアリールオキシ(OR)、カルボキ シ、アシルオキシもしくはアロイルオキシ(O2CR)、アルコキシカルボニルも しくはアリールオキシカルボニル(CO2R)から成る群から独立して選択され る)から成る群から独立して選択され、 Yは、R、CO2H、CO2R、COR、CN、CONH2、CONHR、CO NR2、O2CR、OR、またはハロゲンから成る群から独立して選択され、 Bは、R、CO2H、CO2R、COR、CN、CONH2、CONHR、CO NR2、O2CR、OR、ハロゲン、またはポリマー鎖から成る群から選択され、 Rは、任意選択で置換された、C1〜C18アルキル、C2〜C18アルケニル、ア リール、複素環基、アラルキル、またはアルカリール(alkaryl)から成 る群(この場合、該置換基は、エポキシ、ヒドロキシ、アルコキシ、アシル、ア シルオキシ、カルボキシ(および塩)、スルホン酸(および塩)、アルコキシカルボ ニルもしくはアリールオキシカルボニル、イソシアナト、シアノ、シリル、ハロ 、およびジアルキルアミノから成る群から独立して選択される)から選択され、 Zは、Hと、任意選択で置換された、アルキル、シクロアルキル、アリール、 アラルキル、アルカリール、有機シリル、アルコキシアルキル、アルコシキアリ ール、ヒドロキシ、ヒドロペルオキシ、アルキルペルオキシ、アルコキシ、アロ イルオキシの基のフリーラジカル開始剤誘導フラグメント(この場合、置換基は 、R、OR、O2CR、ハロゲン、CO2H(および塩)、CO2R、CN、CON H2、CONHR、CONR2、スルフェート、 から選択される)とから成る群から選択され、 m≧1であり、 n≧0であり、 p≧0であり、 mおよびnの一方または両方が1より大きい場合、繰り返し単位は同じかまた は相違し、 [CH2−CUY]p部分は、分枝点Uを含有し、そしてUがランダム構造(2 )中に存在するところの、構造(1)に由来する。) (B)次の可変要素を調整することにより、ポリマーの特性を制御すること、 (i) (a)/(b)のモル比を増加させることにより、ビニル末端ポリマー の割合を増加させること、 (ii) (c)/(a)+(b)のモル比を減少させることにより、ビニル末 端ポリマーの割合を増加させること、 (iii) 次のようにして、分枝度(pの値)を制御すること、 (d) 温度を上げることにより、pを減少すること、 (e) モノマー濃度を減少することにより、pを減少すること、 (f) 変換率を増加することにより、pを増加すること、 (iv) 次のようにして、分子量を制御すること、 (g) モノマー濃度を減少することにより、分子量を減少させること、 (f) 温度を上げることにより、分子量を減少させること とを含むことを特徴とする方法。 2.下記の一般構造2で表されるホモポリマーを生成する請求項1に記載の方法 であって、 上式で、 Yは、R、CO2H、CO2R、COR、CN、CONH2、CONHR、CO NR2、O2CR、OR、またはハロゲンから成る群から選択され、 [CH2−CUY]p部分は、分枝点を表し、そしてUが以下の構造中に存在す るところの、構造(2)に由来する ことを特徴とする方法。 3.下記の一般構造3で表されるランダムコポリマーを生成する請求項1に記載 の方法であって、上式で、 n≧1であり、 Yは、R、CO2H、CO2R、COR、CN、CONH2、CONHR、CO NR2、O2CR、OR、またはハロゲンから成る群から選択され、 Bは、R、CO2H、CO2R、COR、CN、CONH2、CONHR、CO NR2、O2CR、OR、ハロゲン、またはポリマー鎖から成る群から独立して選 択される ことを特徴とする方法。 4.工程(B)(i)によりポリマーの特性を制御することを含むことを特徴とす る請求項1に記載の方法。 5.工程(B)(ii)によりポリマーの特性を制御することを含むことを特徴と する請求項1に記載の方法。 6.工程(B)(iii)によりポリマーの特性を制御することを含むことを特徴 とする請求項1に記載の方法。 7.工程(B)(iii)(d)を用いることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法 。 8.工程(B)(iii)(e)を用いることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法 。 9.工程(B)(iii)(f)を用いることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法 。 10.工程(B)(iv)を用いて分子量を制御することによりポリマーの特性を 制御することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 11.工程(B)(iv)(g)を用いることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方 法。 12.工程(B)(iv)(h)を用いることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方 法。
