Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.リバースリンク信号がトラヒックチャネル送信電力で送信されるトラヒック チャネルと、パイロットチャネル送信電力で送信するパイロットチャネルとを有 し、符号分割多元接続技術を用いて処理され、リバースリンク送信電力で送信さ れる前記リバースリンク信号における送信電力制御を行う方法であって、 パイロットチャネルの受信エネルギを計測する工程と、 前記受信エネルギがエネルギ閾値よりも大きい場合に、減少コマンドを生成す る工程と、 前記受信エネルギが前記エネルギ閾値よりも小さい場合に、増大コマンドを生 成する工程とを具備することを特徴とする送信電力制御を行う方法。 2.前記増大コマンドは、リバースリンク送信電力を増大するためのものであり 、前記減少コマンドは、リバースリンク送信電力を減少するためのものであるこ とを特徴とする請求項1に記載の送信電力制御を行う方法。 3.フォワードリンク信号を通じて、増大コマンドと減少コマンドとを送信する 工程をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の送信電力制御を行う方法 。 4.トラヒックチャネルは、一組の電力レベルと一組の対応する送信レートで受 信されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の送信電力制御を行う方法。 5.通信を行うシステムであって、 パイロットチャネルとトラヒックチャネルを有する一組のリバースリンク信号 を送信するための一組の加入者ユニットと、 前記一組のリバースリンク信号から一つのリバースリンク信号を受信し、前記 パイロットチャネルのエネルギレベルを計測し、このエネルギレベルに基づく電 力制御コマンドを生成する基地局とを具備することを特徴とする通信を行うシス テム。 6.前記一組の加入者ユニットの各加入者ユニットは、 前記パイロットチャネルを生成する手段と、 前記トラヒックチャネルを生成する手段と、 振幅調整コマンドを生成する手段とを備えることを特徴とする請求項5に記載 の通信を行うシステム。 7.前記一組の基地局の各基地局は、 前記トラヒックチャネルのエネルギレベルを計測する手段と、 前記エネルギが閾値よりも小さい場合に増大するための前記電力制御コマンド を設定し、そして前記エネルギが閾値よりも大きい場合に減少するための前記電 力制御コマンドを設定する手段とを備えることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の通 信を行うシステム。 8.前記トラヒックチャネルを生成する手段は、送信レートの変化に応じて、前 記トラヒックチャネルにおけるゲイン調整をさらに行うことを特徴とする請求項 6に記載の通信を行うシステム。 9.前記加入者ユニットは、フォワードリンクの受信エネルギの変化に応じてリ バースリンクゲイン調整コマンドを調整するための電力制御手段をさらに備える ことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の通信を行うシステム。 10.信号を受信処理するシステムにおいて、 前記信号内のトラヒックチャネルを復調するためのトラヒックチャネルプロセ ッサと、 前記信号内のパイロットチャネルを復調し、そして前記パイロットチャネルに 基づく受信されたエネルギの計測結果を生成するためのパイロットチャネル処理 と、 前記受信されたエネルギの計測結果に基づく電力制御コマンドを生成するため の電力制御システムとを具備することを特徴とする信号を受信処理するシステム 。 11.前記電力制御コマンドは、増大、あるいは減少よりなる一組の調整から選 択された調整を要求するためのものであることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の 信号を受信処理するシステム。 12.前記調整は、前記信号に対して指示するものであることを特徴とする請求 項11に記載の信号を受信処理するシステム。 13.前記調整は、前記トラヒックチャネルに対して指示するものであることを 特徴とする請求項12に記載の信号を受信処理するシステム。 14.前記電力制御コマンドを送信するための送信システムをさらに備えること を特徴とする請求項10に記載の信号を受信処理するシステム。
