Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.複数のプロセッサの各々がメモリを持った複数のプロセッサを有したマルチ プロセッサシステムにおいて、インタープロセッサコミュニケーションフォル トのためのトレランスを改良する方法であって、 前記複数のプロセッサを通信的に接続し、 次に通信故障を検出し、 次に前記複数のプロセッサのうち依然として動作しており、かつ依然として 通信的に接続されているもののそれぞれについてまず判断を試行し、これによ って前記マルチ−プロセッサシステムの前記それぞれのプロセッサのビューを 判断し、次に、第2に前記依然として動作しているプロセッサが、もし前記 マルチ−プロセッサの各プロセッサのそれぞれのビューが前記依然として動作 しておりかつ依然として通信的に結合されている前記プロセッサの数が前記複 数のプロセッサの2分の1より少ないことを示している場合には、動作を停止す るかどうかを各プロセッサが依然として動作しているそれぞれのプロセッサに 関して判断し、 次に、前記第2の判断にしたがって各プロセッサについて動作を継続または 停止することを特徴とする方法。 2.前記複数のプロセッサを通信的に接続し、 次に通信故障を検出し、 次に前記複数のプロセッサのうち依然として動作しており、かつ依然として 通信的に接続されているもののそれぞれについてまず判断を試行し、これによ って前記マルチ−プロセッサシステムの前記それぞれのプロセッサのビューを 判断し、 次に、第2に前記依然として動作しているプロセッサが、もし前記マルチ− プロセッサの各プロセッサのそれぞれのビューが前記依然として動作しており かつ依然として通信的に結合されている前記プロセッサの数が前記複数のプロ セッサの2分の1より少ないことを示している場合には、動作を停止するかどう かを各プロセッサが依然として動作しているそれぞれのプロセッサに関して判 断し、 次に、前記第2の判断にしたがって各プロセッサについて動作を継続または 停止することによって、 複数のプロセッサの各々がメモリを持った複数のプロセッサを有したマルチ プロセッサシステムが、インタープロセッサコミュニケーションフォルトを許 容せしめるプログラムが設けられているコンピュータメモリを備えた製品。 3.コンピュータシステムであって、 通信ネットワークと、 前記複数のプロセッサを通信的に接続し、 次に通信故障を検出し、 次に前記複数のプロセッサのうち依然として動作しており、かつ依然として 通信的に接続されているもののそれぞれについてまず判断を試行し、これによ って前記マルチ−プロセッサシステムの前記それぞれのプロセッサのビューを 判断し、 次に、第2に前記依然として動作しているプロセッサが、もし前記マルチ− プロセッサの各プロセッサのそれぞれのビューが前記依然として動作しており かつ依然として通信的に結合されている前記プロセッサの数が前記複数のプロ セッサの2分の1より少ないことを示している場合には、動作を停止するかどう かを各プロセッサが依然として動作しているそれぞれのプロセッサに関して判 断し、 次に、前記第2の判断にしたがって各プロセッサについて動作を継続または 停止することによって、 前記コンピュータシステムがインタープロセッサコミュニケーションフォル トを許容せしめるプログラムが設けられているそれぞれのメモリを有する、前 記ネットワークによって通信的に通信的に接続され複数のプロセッサと、 を備えたコンピュータシステム。 4.前記第2の判断を行うステップが、さらに、 a)もし、前記各プロセッサのそれぞれのビューが前記依然として動作しかつ 依然として通信的に接続されている前記プロセッサの数が前記複数のプロセッ サの数の2分の1より多いことを示している場合には動作を続行することになって いることとして判断し、 b)そうでなければ、もし、前記各プロセッサのそれぞれのビューが前記依然と して動作しかつ依然として通信的に接続されている前記プロセッサが所定のタイ −ブレーカープロセッサを含んでいることを示している場合には、動作を続行す ることになっていることとして判断し、 c)そうでなければ、前記依然として動作しているプロセッサのそれぞれが動作 を停止することとして判断することを特徴とする前記1に記載の方法。
