Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.基礎チャンネルにデータの第1部分集合および少なくとも1つの補足チャ ンネルにデータの第2部分集合を供給することによりデータが遠隔局に伝送され る通信システムにおけるハンドオフを制御する方法であって、 加入者ユニットからパイロット強度測定電文を受信し、 前記パイロット強度測定電文に基づいた前記基礎チャンネルに前記加入者ユニ ットへの伝送を供給するための複数の基本局を選択し、 前記少なくとも1つの補足チャンネルに前記加入者ユニットへの伝送を供給す るため前記複数の基本局の少なくとも1つを独立に選択する ことを備えている方法。 2.前記データの第1部分集合の通信のため前記複数の基本局の同一性を指示 しかつ前記データの第2部分集合の通信のため前記複数の基本局の前記少なくと も1つの同一性を指示する拡張されたハンドオフ指令電文を前記加入者ユニット に伝送することを、さらに備えている請求項1の方法。 3.前記複数の基本局の少なくとも1つを独立に選択するステップが 前記加入者ユニットが静止しているか否かを検出し、 前記加入者ユニットが静止していると検出されたとき、前記パイロット強度測 定電文における最も強いパイロット信号に対応している基本局を前記複数の基本 局の前記少なくとも1つとして選択する ステップを備えている請求項1または2の方法。 4.前記複数の基本局の少なくとも1つを独立に選択するステップが パイロット強度の変化の量を検出するため、前のパイロット強度測定電文のパ イロット強度と前記パイロット強度測定電文のパイロット強度とを比較し、 前記パイロット強度の前記変化の量が予定の閾値を超えるとき、前記遠隔局と 通信するため複数の基本局を選択する ステップを備えている請求項1ないし3のいずれかの方法。 5.前記パイロット強度の前記変化の量が前記パイロット強度の変化の率であ る請求項4の方法。 6.前記複数の基本局の少なくとも1つを独立に選択するステップが 前記パイロット強度測定電文のパイロット強度を合計し、 パイロット強度の前記合計の変化を検出するため、前のパイロット強度測定電 文のパイロット強度の合計と前記パイロット強度測定電文のパイロット強度の合 計とを比較し、 パイロット強度の前記合計が予定の閾値を超えるとき、前記遠隔局と通信する ため複数の基本局を選択する ことを備えた請求項1ないし5のいずれかの方法。 7.前記加入者ユニットで前記データのフレーム誤差の存在を決定し、 前記データのフレーム誤差の存在の前記決定にしたがって誤差指示電文を発生 し、 前記誤差指示電文を伝送し、 前記複数の基本局の少なくとも1つを選択するステップが前記誤差指示電文に したがって遂行される ことをさらに備えている請求項1ないし6のいずれかの方法。 8.前記誤差指示電文にしたがって前記複数の基本局の少なくとも1つを選択 することは、誤差率が閾値を超えるとき複数の基本局を選択することを備える請 求項7の方法。 9.基礎チャンネルおよび補足チャンネルにおけるデータの伝送を制御する手 段と、 基礎チャンネルにデータの伝送のため複数基本局を選択しかつ補足チャンネル にデータの伝送のため複数基本局の1つまたはそれ以上を選択する手段と を備えている複数の基本局間で加入者ユニットのハンドオフを制御する装置。 10.信号の質を決定するため加入者ユニットにより受信された基礎および補 足チャンネル信号に関するパラメタを評価する手段と、 質が非退音信号を指示するなら単一の基本局から、質が退音信号を指示するな ら複数基本局からハンドオフ中補足チャンネルの信号の伝送を制御する手段と をさらに備えている請求項9の装置。 11.基礎チャンネルおよび補足チャンネルにおけるデータの伝送を制御し、 基礎チャンネルにデータの伝送のため複数基本局を選択し 補足チャンネルにデータの伝送のため複数基本局の1つまたはそれ以上を選択 する ことを備えている複数の基本局間で加入者ユニットのハンドオフを制御する方 法。 12.信号の質を決定するため加入者ユニットにより受信された基礎および補 足チャンネル信号に関するパラメタを評価し、 質が非退音信号を指示するなら単一の基本局から、質が退音信号を指示するな ら複数基本局からハンドオフ中補足チャンネルの信号の伝送を制御する ことをさらに備えている請求項11の方法。
