Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.単離されたポリヌクレオチドであって、以下; (a)配列番号2に示すアミノ酸-26〜アミノ酸199配列を含有するポリペプチド をコードするポリヌクレオチド; (b)配列番号2に示すアミノ酸1〜アミノ酸199配列を含有するポリペプチドを コードするポリヌクレオチド; (c)(a)または(b)のポリヌクレオチドにハイブリダイズし得、そして該ポリヌ クレオチドと少なくとも70%同一であるポリヌクレオチド;および (d)(a)、(b)または(c)のポリヌクレオチドのポリヌクレオチドフラグメントか らなる群から選択されるメンバーを含む、単離されたポリヌクレオチド。 2.前記ポリヌクレオチドがDNAである、請求項1に記載のポリヌクレオチド。 3.配列番号1に示すヌクレオチド1〜ヌクレオチド680を含有する、請求項1 に記載のポリヌクレオチド。 4.配列番号1に示すヌクレオチド79〜ヌクレオチド680を含有する、請求項1 に記載のポリヌクレオチド。 5.単離されたポリヌクレオチドであって、以下; (a)ATCC受託番号第97148に含まれるDNAによりコードされる成熟ポリペプチド をコードするポリヌクレオチド; (b)ATCC受託番号第97148に含まれるDNAにより発現されるポリペプチドをコー ドするポリヌクレオチド; (c)(a)または(b)のポリヌクレオチドにハイブリダイズし得、そして該ポリヌ クレオチドと少なくとも70%同一であるポリヌクレオチド;および (d)(a)、(b)または(c)のポリヌクレオチドのポリヌクレオチドフラグメントか らなる群から選択されるメンバーを含む、単離されたポリヌクレオチド。 6.請求項2に記載のDNAを含有するベクター。 7.請求項6に記載のベクターで遺伝子操作された宿主細胞。 8.ポリペプチドを産生させるプロセスであって、請求項7に記載の宿主細胞か ら前記DNAによってコードされるポリペプチドを発現させる工程を包含する、プ ロセス。 9.請求項6に記載のベクターで遺伝子操作された細胞を含むポリペプチドを発 現し得る細胞を産生するためのプロセス。 10.ポリペプチドであって、以下(i)配列番号2の推定アミノ酸配列を有する ポリペプチドおよびフラグメント、アナログおよびその誘導体;および(ii)ATCC 受託番号第97148のcDNAによりコードされるポリペプチドおよびフラグメント、 アナログおよび該ポリペプチドの誘導体、からなる群から選択されるメンバーを 含む、ポリペプチド。 11.請求項10に記載のポリペプチドに対する抗体。 12.請求項10に記載のポリペプチドの生物学的作用を阻害する化合物。 13.請求項10に記載のポリペプチドに対するレセプターを活性化する化合物 。 14.FGF-14ポリペプチドを必要とする患者の処置方法であって、以下:請求項 10に記載のポリペプチドの治療的有効量を患者に投与する工程を包含する、方 法。 15.FGF-14ポリペプチドを必要とする患者の処置方法であって、以下:請求項 12に記載の化合物の治療的有効量を患者に投与する工程を包含する、方法。 16.前記治療的有効量の前記ポリペプチドが、インビボで前記ポリペプチドを コードし、そして該ポリペプチドを発現するDNAを患者に提供することによって 投与される、請求項14に記載の方法。 17.前記化合物がポリペプチドであり、そしてインビボで前記アンタゴニスト をコードし、そして該アンタゴニストを発現するDNAを患者に提供することによ って、該化合物の治療的有効量が投与される、請求項15に記載の方法。 18.化合物を、請求項10に記載のポリペプチドに対するアゴニストとして活 性であると同定するためのプロセスであって、: (a)スクリーニングされるべき化合物と、細胞を含む反応混合物とを、該細胞 が該ポリペプチドにより正常に刺激される条件下で組み合わせる工程であって、 該反応混合物が、該細胞増殖時に該細胞に組み込まれた標識を含有する、工程; および (b)該化合物が効果的なアゴニストである場合に、細胞の増殖の程度を決定し て同定する工程; を包含するプロセス。 19.化合物を、請求項10に記載のポリペプチドに対するアンタゴニストとし て活性であると同定するためのプロセスであって、: (a)スクリーニングされるべき化合物と、該ポリペプチドと、細胞を含む反応 混合物とを、該細胞が該ポリペプチドにより正常に刺激される条件下で組み合わ せる工程であって、該反応混合物が、該細胞増殖時に該細胞に組み込まれた標識 を含有する、工程;および (b)該化合物が効果的なアンタゴニストである場合に、細胞の増殖の程度を決 定して同定する工程; を含むプロセス。 20.請求項10に記載のポリペプチドの低発現に関する疾患に対する疾病また は感受性を診断するためのプロセスであって: 該ポリペプチドをコードする核酸配列中の変異を決定する工程を包含する、プ ロセス。
