Method, apparatus and closure for injecting liquid melt
The invention relates to a method in which the spout, prior to the injection, has a melt at least in the region of its inlet.
The liquid melt through the spout of the melt container,
The present invention relates to a method for injecting a melt. The invention further provides an apparatus for performing the method and
It relates to a closure member.
The melt container, especially the ladle, is actually filled from the converter and
It is transported to a platform. The spout of the melt container is used during filling and from the converter to the continuous casting table.
Closed during operation. The lid freezes on the closure member, for example in a sand filling
It is formed by an area of the melt.
The idea of inductively heating a frozen melt is not an option during its operation on a casting table.
It fails because the ductance coil may be cooled. Spout entrance
In order to allow the range to be de-melted by induction, the inductance
The coil must be located near the melt at the bottom of the vessel. Cooled
When not present, this inductance coil is
, Which will receive temperatures so high that it can be damaged.
In the earlier German patent application no.
A method of heating a refractory molded part by a coil coil device is described.
When the main electromagnetic field generated by the inductance coil device
Outside, a secondary electromagnetic field is generated. Inductance coils are then structurally desirable
In particular, it can be arranged in the region of the colder molded part. The method of injection is
Not described here.
The object of the invention is to propose a method which enables injection by means of an inductance coil.
It is to be.
According to the present invention, the above-mentioned object is achieved by the features of the characterizing portion of Claim 1.
It has been solved by the sign.
During operation, the inductance coil is connected both electrically and for its cooling
After the operation of the filled melt container to the continuous casting table,
The conductance coil operates. The inductance coil for injection is electrically
And via its cooling, and is charged. At that time, the range of the spout entrance
A temperature rise occurs in the enclosure, whereby the inlet is released and melted. At that time, the inductor
Because the coil itself is located in the area of the outlet of the spout, excessive
It is hoped that this will be done even when not at risk by
No.
In this range, the inductance coil may be completely or slightly less than the temperature of the melt.
Only encourages the use of air-cooled inductance coils.
You. Further effective water cooling is usually considered too dangerous.
In the configuration of the present invention, in the area of the outlet of the spout for injection,
An electric conductor is inductively connected to the electromagnetic field of the
Outside the area of the spout enclosed by at least the area of the spout inlet.
It generates secondary electromagnetic fields in the body, and
The conductor is heated in the area of the outlet of the cut and at least in the area of the inlet.
The occurrence of such sub-fields is described in German Patent Application No. 19551523.
No. 0.
Electrical conductors can be located in the spout holes or on the walls thereof. Placed in the hole
If so, this conductor will fall off or melt during injection. The conductor is the spout
When placed on a wall, it remains inside the wall and can therefore be used multiple times.
Wear.
In connection with the sliding lid known per se, the injection method is preferably carried out as follows.
You. That is, through the opening of the sliding lid, the inner circumference geometry of the spout
Insert a closure member having substantially the same outer peripheral geometry as the mechanical structure. In any case
The closing member also closes the spout inlet. This is because of the well known sand filling
It may be shaped, or additionally, shaped. Closed in any case
The member has an extension to the extent of the inductance coil, where the inductor
The lance is located in the area of the container bottom around the spout. Sliding lid closed
And the container is filled with a steel melt. Then the container is in the casting position
To the cooling section, to the air cooling section and to a source of electrical energy for injection.
Continued. Injection is started by melting the closing member, and the sliding lid is opened or slid.
Open lid just before injection. Therefore, before filling the container, the closing member is placed at the inlet
The closure member has an extension, which is a separate component
Or can be constructed in one piece with a closure member. The sliding lid is closed
I am After traveling to the casting table, the closing member is
It is melted, wherein the sliding lid can be opened before or after the melting of the closing member.
The device for implementing the method is outstanding in the following respects. That is, in the area of the entrance
The closure is inserted into the spout and the melt freezes on the closure.
In addition, the closure has an inductively connectable extension that extends to the area of the outlet.
This extension can be inductively connected by an inductance coil in the outlet area.
The extension is heated and closed at least in the region of the inlet.
The chain member can be melted by heat conduction through the extension or by a secondary electromagnetic field.
There are various possibilities for the construction and function of the extension. Extension is here
To generate a secondary electromagnetic field in the area of the entrance outside the inductance coil
So that the extension is induction heated in the region of the inlet. This
Such a configuration is described in German Patent Application No. 19515230.
