Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 第1の符号を使用して入力データのストリームの第1の部分を符号化する ステップと、 第2の符号を使用して入力データの前記ストリームの第2の部分を符号 化するステップと、 前記符号化された第1および第2の部分に応答して、予め定められた信 号配置から選択された信号点のシーケンスを生成するステップと、 信号点の前記シーケンスをチャネルに与えるステップとからなり、 前記第2の符号化ステップが、信号点の前記シーケンスの異なるものの 間の最小距離を増大させない ことを特徴とする符号化方法。 2. 前記第1の符号が、生成された信号点当たり1つよりも多い出力ビット を提供する ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 3. 前記第2の符号化ステップが、信号点の前記シーケンスのうちの異なる ものの間の時間ダイバシティを増大させる ことを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の方法。 4. 前記第1の符号が、N>2であるN次元トレリス符号である ことを特徴とする請求項3記載の方法。 5. 前記第2の符号が、パリティチェック符号である ことを特徴とする請求項3記載の方法。
