Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.カチオンパーセントで表して、15-30%のSiO2、50-60%のB2O3、2-5% のAl2O3、0-6%のLi2O、0-3.0%のNa2O、14-20%のK2O、0.5-1.0% のCuO、0.4-0.7%のSnO2、0.5-1.5%のCl、および0.7-1.5%のBrから 実質的になる、強力に紫外線を吸収するガラス。 2.前記Na2Oの量が0.2-0.7%の範囲にあることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1 項記載の紫外線吸収ガラス。 3.請求の範囲第1項記載の紫外線吸収ガラスの微細に粉砕した粒子のマトリク ス中の懸濁液からなる紫外線吸収材料。 4.前記紫外線吸収ガラスが既知の屈折率を有する透明ガラスであることを特徴 とする請求の範囲第3項記載の紫外線吸収材料。 5.前記マトリクスが、前記紫外線吸収ガラスの屈折率と実質的に等しい屈折率 を有する液体であることを特徴とする請求の範囲第4項記載の紫外線吸収ガラス 。 6.前記マトリクスがゲルであることを特徴とする請求の範囲第3項記載の紫外 線吸収材料。 7.請求の範囲第3項記載の紫外線吸収材料の薄いフイルムまたはコーティング を支持体上に施すことにより形成された製品。 8.前記フイルムまたはコーティングが0.1mmから1mmまでの範囲の厚さで あることを特徴とする請求の範囲第7項記載の製品。 9.実質的に曇りのない強力な紫外線吸収ガラスを製造する方法であって、 a) カチオンパーセントで表して、15-30%のSiO2、50-60%のB2O3、2 -5%のAl2O3、0-6%のLi2O、0.2-0.7%のNa2O、14-20%のK2O、 0.5-1.0%のCuO、0.4-0.7%のSnO2、0.5-1.5%のCl、および0.7-1. 5%のBrから実質的になる組成物を有するガラスを提供し、 b) 該ガラスを溶融させ、 c) 該ガラスを薄いリボンに圧延することによりこのガラスを急冷し、 d) 該リボンを熱処理して、実質的に曇りのない紫外線吸収ガラスを形成す ることを特徴とする方法。 10.前記リボンを、60時間から100時間までの範囲の期間に亘り500℃から550℃ までの範囲の温度で熱処理することを特徴とする請求の範囲第9項記載の方法。
