Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 画像の画像ブロックへの分割(4)と、係数を渡すべく上記ブロックの離 散コサイン変換(9)と、量子化間隔を用いた各係数の量子化(10)とを行い 、ビデオ画像からのディジタルデータを圧縮する方法において、 画像の区分け(2)及び得られた領域のラベル付け(2)を更に行い、 ブロックの各係数に対する量子化間隔を定義する際に用いられ、値が上記ラベ ルの関数として計算されるブロック制御間隔を各ブロックに関連付けることを特 徴とする方法。 2. 上記関数は、設定値ビットレートの関数として画像に対し計算された制御 間隔値の1以上の増加又は減少であり、 二つの別個のブロック制御間隔は二つの別個の領域に対応することを特徴とす る請求項1記載の方法。 3. 上記増加又は減少は、設定値ビットレートに一致する平均ビットレートを 維持するような方法で設定値ビットレートの関数として計算された上記制御間隔 値の周辺に均一に分布することを特徴とする請求項2記載の方法。 4. 各ブロックに対し複雑さの係数(3)を計算し、 上記ブロック制御間隔の計算は上記係数の関数として行われることを特徴とす る請求項1乃至3のうちいずれか1項記載の方法。 5. 上記複雑さの係数は、エネルギーの関数として計算されたブロックの空間 的な不均一性を表す空間的な複雑さの係数であることを特徴とする請求項4記載 の方法。 6. 上記複雑さの係数は、ある画像と別の画像との間のブロックの移動量の関 数として計算された時間的な複雑さの係数であることを特徴とする請求項4記載 の方法。 7. 上記複雑さの係数は、優先されるべきゾーンを手動で選択す ることにより計算されることを特徴とする請求項4記載の方法。 8. 画像を画像ブロックに分割する回路(4)と、画像ブロックの係数のブロ ックへの変換を行う離散コサイン変換回路(9)と、上記変換されたブロックに 属する係数を制御間隔に基づいて量子化する量子化回路(19)と、装置によっ て出力されるデータに対する設定値ビットレートの関数として画像制御間隔を計 算する制御回路(15)とを含む、ビデオ画像からのディジタルデータを圧縮す る装置において、 領域を定義し、各ブロック毎にブロックが属する領域に関係したラベルを上記 量子化回路(10)に渡すため上記ディジタルデータを受け取る区分回路(2) を更に有し、 上記量子化回路(10)は、各画像ブロック毎にブロック制御間隔を送出すべ く、上記制御間隔を使用する前に上記ラベルの関数として上記制御間隔を修正す ることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法を実施する装置。 9. 上記量子化回路(10)は、上記量子化間隔の値を増加又は減少させ、 二つの別個のブロック制御間隔は二つの別個の領域に対応することを特徴とす る請求項8記載の方法。 10. 上記ディジタルデータは、ブロックの空間的な不均一性の関数として空 間的な係数を計算し、画像の各ブロックに割り当てる前解析回路(3)に伝送さ れ、 上記制御間隔は上記空間的な係数の関数として修正されることを特徴とする請 求項8又は9記載の装置。 11. 上記ディジタルデータは、先行の画像の対応した動きに対するブロック の相対移動の大きさの関数として、空間的な係数を計算し、画像の各ブロックに 割り当てる前解析回路(3)に伝送され、 上記制御間隔は上記空間的な係数の関数として修正されることを特徴とする請 求項8又は9記載の装置。 12. 上記ディジタルデータは、ユーザによって与えられたデータの関数とし て空間的な係数を計算し、画像の各ブロックに割り当てる前解析回路(3)に伝 送され、 上記制御間隔は上記空間的な係数の関数として修正されることを特徴とする請 求項8又は9記載の装置。 13. 画像ブロックに属する係数を逆量子化する回路と、上記逆量子化された 画像ブロックの逆変換を行う逆離散コサイン変換回路とを含み、請求項1に記載 の方法に従って圧縮されたデータを受け取り、画像の種々の領域に属する画像ブ ロックと各ブロックに割り当てられた制御間隔とに関係するビデオデータを伸張 する装置において、 上記ブロックが属する領域を該ブロックに関して受け取られた制御間隔に基づ いて決定する手段を更に有することを特徴とする装置。 14. 上記手段は、完全な画像に亘って各ブロックに関して受け取られた上記 制御間隔の平均化と、この平均制御間隔に関する計算とを行うことを特徴とする 請求項13記載の装置。 15. 受け取られたデータは上記ブロックと関連した動きベクトルに関係し、 ある画像から別の画像までの間の領域追跡が上記動きベクトルに基づいて行わ れることを特徴とする請求項13記載の装置。 16. 上記領域を定義するラベルは、全く同一の領域に対し時間的に同一性を 保たれ、 上記ラベルは、伝達された上記ブロック制御間隔と、上記ブロックが属する画 像に対する平均制御間隔との不一致により定義されることを特徴とする請求項1 3記載の装置。
