Con riferimento alla figura 1, identifichiamo genericamente con 1 un pacchetto per articoli da fumo, in particolare sigarette. Il pacchetto 1 comprende un contenitore 2 costituito di cartone o cartoncino rigido di forma parallelepipeda e avente una parete anteriore 21, una parete posteriore 22, una parete inferiore 24 e due pareti laterali 23. All’interno del contenitore 2 trova alloggiamento un unico incarto 3 (mostrato solo in figura 1) di forma parallelepipeda racchiudente un gruppo di articoli da fumo.
