Description

TITLE: CIGARETTE CASE WITH AN ASH BOX The present invention relates to a cigarette case, and more particularly to a cigarette case having an ash box provided therewith.

Cigarette smokers have greatly increased recently.

One of the more serious consequences of this is the corresponding increase in the number of cigarette butts and cigarette ash which are carelessly discarded and which are the cause of many fires, especially forest fires. Typically, only those people having a good sense of public welfare will dispose of their cigarette butts and cigarette ash in a suitable container. The main reason for this is that it is very inconvenient and impractical for smokers to carry an ash tray around with them and the conventional cigarette case does not offer any suitable facility for disposal.

The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages of the conventional cigarette case.

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a cigarette case which has an ash bux provided integral with the cigarette case for disposing cigarette ash and cigarette butts.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a cigarette case having an ash box whose lining is preferably made of fire-proof or thermo-protective materials so that the fire of the cigarette butts can be distinguished by pressing the cigarette butts onto the fire-proof materials of the ash box.

Still another objective of the present invention is to provide a cigarette case having an ash box which is removable from the cigarette case so that the cigarette ash and cigarette butts collected within the ash box can be disposed by removing the ash box from the cigarette case.

The present invention seeks to provide a cigarette case with an ash box both having a foldable lid. The ash box is provided within or on one side of the cigarette case. The ash box has a lining which is made of fire-proof or thermo-protective materials so that cigarette ash and cigarette butts can be put in the ash box.

Further objectives and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from a careful reading of the detailed description provided hereinbelow, with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

FIG. 1 is an exploded view of a cigarette case with an ash box in accordance with the present invention; FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the assembled cigarette case of FIG. 1; and FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a cigarette case in accordance with another aspect of the present invention.

Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1 and 2, the cigarette case with an ash box in accordance with the present invention comprises generally a cigarette case 1 and an ash box 2. The cigarette case 1 with a foldable lid 12 is a conventional case with a longer width. The ash box 2, which has a lining 22 preferably made of fire-proof or thermo-protective materials such as tin foil or aluminum foil, is substantially a slender box with a foldable lid 21. The ash box 2 is removably provided within the cigarette case 1 with the lid 21 openable when the foldable lid 12 of the cigarette case 1 is open so that cigarette ash and cigarette butts can be put into the ash box 2.

Two ears 23 are formed on the two lateral sides of the opening of the ash box 2. The inner portion 211 of the lid 21 is provided for distinguishing the fire of the cigarette butts. It is to be noted that the ash box 2 in this configuration is removable from the cigarette case 1 so that the cigarette ash and the cigarette butts collected within the ash box can be disposed when the ash box 2 is full, or when the smoker find a garbage can or the like.

Referring next to FIG. 3, a further embodiment of the cigarette case with an ash box are illustrated in accordance with the present invention. The ash box 3 with a foldable lid 31 is disposed on one side of the cigarette case 1. The arrangement of this embodiment does not affect the capacity of the cigarette case 1 and allow the ash box 3 to be used without the need to open the foldable lid 12 of the cigarette case 1.

Therefore, the smoker can dispose of cigarette ash and cigarette butts responsibly and eliminate the fire risk to property and littering of the environment.

Although this invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is to be understood that the present disclosure has been made by way of example only and that numerous changes in the detailed construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

Claims

I CLAIM:

1. A cigarette case with an ash box each having a foldable lid; said ash box having a lining which is made of fire-proof material and being provided in a predetermined position of said cigarette case.

2. A cigarette case according to claim 1, wherein said ash box is disposed within said cigarette case.

3. A cigarette case according to claim 1, wherein said ash box is disposed on one side of said cigarette case.

4. A cigarette case according to claim 2, wherein said ash box is removable from said cigarette case.

5. A cigarette case substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
