DESCRIPTION of the industrial invention entitled: "Prefabricated room, in particular cabin for ships, and panel and joints for its implementation."
TESTO DELLA DESCRIZIONE TEXT OF THE DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a prefabricated room, and in particular a cabin for ships or the like, comprising a plurality of peripheral walls and a ceiling wall consisting of panels coupled together.
Prefabricated cabins for ships of various types are known, however, which have some drawbacks. Said known cabins are often very heavy, not sufficiently robust and, above all due to the characteristics of the joints between panel and panel, often do not meet the homologation characteristics in the maximum class of the Italian Naval Registry, so-called R.I.NA., in particular as regards the characteristics of resistance to fire. As is known, it is in fact desirable that cabins for ships have fireproof characteristics such as to form barriers, to prevent the generation of fires and their propagation.
The present invention therefore has the purpose of realizing, with simple and inexpensive measures, a booth of the type described at the beginning with improved characteristics with respect to known booths, and in particular such that it possesses excellent qualities of sound absorption and lightness; that it is made with elements and materials characterized by great ease of processing and shaping; which possesses high adaptability qualities and which offers a very large internal volume with the smallest possible overall dimensions; that it is very resistant from the mechanical point of view so as to present, for example, a walkable ceiling and such that it can be easily lifted and moved without the need for excessive support structures; and above all that it has fire resistance characteristics such as to allow it to be approved in the maximum class of the R.I.NA.
The invention achieves the aforementioned purposes thanks to a booth of the type described at the beginning in which the panels are coupled together in such a way that all the walls of the booth have constant and continuous fireproof characteristics between wall and wall, and such as to generate a supporting structure of peripheral walls.
These characteristics are obtained through the use of particular types of panel, also object of the present invention, and thanks to the fact that the panels are coupled together to form the peripheral and ceiling walls by means of interlocking elements and / or profiles metallic or similar, and / or bonding with R.I.NA.-approved resin, at least as regards the fireproof characteristics.
The present invention provides for the use, alternatively or in combination, of at least two types of panel. The characteristics of said panels result in particular from claims 3 to 8, from which it can be seen that said panels are very light, easily shaped for the realization of interlocking grooves or the like, are extremely resistant from a mechanical point of view and above all have characteristics optimum fire resistance. This last important characteristic is due to the materials that make up the various layers and in particular to the presence of the intermediate layers in resin approved by R.I.NA. In any case, the use of panels in different materials, and / or with a different number of layers and / or with a different arrangement of the layers from the one described, can be envisaged, provided that these have the same high characteristics, in particular of fire resistance.
Le caratteristiche di continuità di resistenza al fuoco fra parete e parete e le caratteristiche di autoportanza sono dovute in particolare al fatto che la cabina comprende una struttura composta da pannelli che sono accoppiati fra loro mediante giunti a profilo sagomato e ad almeno parziale incastro nei pannelli, e fissabili mediante incollaggio con resina omologata The characteristics of continuity of fire resistance between wall and wall and the self-supporting characteristics are due in particular to the fact that the cabin comprises a structure composed of panels which are coupled together by means of joints with a shaped profile and at least partial interlocking in the panels, and fixable by gluing with approved resin
For this purpose, panels are provided which have one or more grooves for the at least partial introduction of an element, preferably metal, and preferably in galvanized steel, for linear or corner junction between separate panels or for the creation of internal or external corners by means of bending along an intermediate line of a single panel.
The characteristics of said joints and their methods of application are clear from claims 11 to 15. It should be noted in particular that said joints are placed between panel and panel in such a way as to restore the functionality in particular of the intermediate layer in R.I. NA., And which have characteristics of such strength and thickness, and are fixed to the panels to be combined and / or folded in such a way that a self-supporting structure of walls is generated. That is, the joints simultaneously perform the function of connecting elements and structural elements.
The panel-to-panel coupling elements can be provided in different materials, in particular the same as the composition of the panels, and coupled to the panels according to further systems, as shown in claims 17 and 18.
The present invention provides advantageous measures also as regards the method of fixing and supporting the ceiling, as shown in claims 19 and 20, again with the aim, in particular, of maintaining the continuity of fire resistance of the various parts.
According to some advantageous improvements, the light points inside the cabin are also provided with particular characteristics, illustrated in claims 21 to 27. Thanks to these characteristics, the desired continuity of fire resistance is also maintained in correspondence with the application areas of the lamps. . Furthermore, any maintenance intervention on the lamps and related accessories, such as transformers, reactors or the like, is possible directly from inside the cabin, without the need to provide, for example, between each cabin and the cover above, sufficient space. when a maintenance worker passes by.
As far as the beds are concerned, their support structure and the compartment for their housing are provided inside the cabin, as can be seen from claims 28 to 32. In this case there are substantially the same advantages described above with regard to the lamps, and in particular a strong reduction of the overall dimensions. In fact, in the known cabins the support means of the retractable beds are fixed externally to the cab itself, on beams or the like, and it is very difficult to maintain the continuity of fire resistance between the interested parts. The overall dimensions are also much greater than those offered according to the present invention.
The booth object of the present invention can be advantageously provided also for use as a room for toilets or the like, as can be seen from claims 33 to 36. The most advantageous feature consists in providing drainage means with characteristics such as to allow the reduction of the storage space. elevation between the floor of the hygienic box and the support surface of the cabin necessary for the drains themselves.
The advantageous feature that the cabin consists of a self-supporting structure formed by panels and connecting elements equipped with the aforementioned characteristics, also allows the improvement of the lifting and handling means of the cabin itself, as illustrated in claims 38 to 47. As is evident, said means do not require a further solidarization of the cabin walls to each other, so they are very simple and easy to use, especially in the context of environments of limited size such as, for example, those intended to accommodate the cabins.
The present invention further relates to a hinge for automatic closing / opening doors. According to the advantageous characteristics illustrated in claims 48 and 49, it is possible to avoid the presence of complicated, expensive and bulky door closing mechanisms, which also require maintenance and are subject to breakage.
The further characteristics and possible improvements of the invention are the subject of the sub-claims.

Figs. 42a and 42b show a side view and a plan view of a second embodiment of the shoe. Figs. 43a and 43b illustrate orthogonal side views of a third embodiment of skate.
Figs. 44 to 48 illustrate different views of a self-closing hinge.
With reference to figs. 2, 7 and 8, a prefabricated cabin according to the invention comprises a plurality of peripheral walls 1 and one or more ceiling walls 2. Said walls 1, 2 are made by means of panels 3 joined together.
With reference to figs. 24 and 25, a first embodiment of panel 3 comprises a double layer consisting of silicate panels 203, preferably in calcium silicate, interposed between an outer layer of fiberglass 303, preferably consisting of a layer of resin-coated multiaxial fiber, and a layer external aluminum 103. The various layers 203, 303 and 103 just described are glued together by interposing resin layers 403, 703 and 803 preferably of the type approved by the Italian Naval Register, R.I.NA. To make panels 3 of considerable size, or to make sections of continuous wall 1, 2, the internal silicate panels 203 are glued along their respective perimeter edges 503 by interposing a layer of resin, and are arranged so that the junction lines are offset horizontally from each other, in order to give the panel 3 characteristics of greater strength.
According to a different embodiment, the panel 3 can be composed of a calcium silicate panel 203, and a rock wool panel 603, or the like, combined with each other, and interposed between a layer of aluminum 103 and a layer of fiberglass 303 in a manner quite similar to what has been previously described with regard to the first type of panel 3. In an equally similar manner, one or more intermediate layers of resin can be provided.
All the materials used for the construction of the panel 3, and in particular the presence of the resin layers 403, 703, 803, and in particular of the core layer 703, give the panel 3 remarkable qualities of sound absorption, fire resistance, lightness. , ease of processing, shapability, adaptability and mechanical resistance, improving the characteristics of the known cabins, made for example of metal, and allowing the approval of the cab according to the invention in the highest class, as desired, in particular as regards the fire resistance characteristics. For particular applications, in particular for the realization of internal dividing walls, the panel 3 can be provided without the intermediate resin layer 703, since the characteristics required for the approval are less severe.
The panels 3 just described are fixed together to form the walls 1 and the ceiling 2 of the booth.
It is understood that it is also possible to use other materials other than those described, and which have similar characteristics.
With particular reference to figs. 10, 11 and 12, a method of straight-line extension joining between two adjacent panels 3, 3 'to form, for example, a wall 1,2 of larger dimensions is illustrated. For this purpose, in each edge of the two panels 3, 3 'intended for coupling, an L-section milling 4, 4' is made, one side of which is in correspondence with the resin core layer 703, 703 '. The two grooves 4, 4 ', which are mutually facing, are intended to accommodate a joining element 5. Said element 5 is provided in the form of a profile, preferably metallic, and preferably constituted by a double layer of metal, with a double T section, which is inserted between the two adjacent panels 3, 3 'in the millings 4,4' described above and locked by bonding with resin, always of the type with the aforementioned homologation characteristics. Additional screws 6 can be provided for further fastening. As particularly highlighted in fig. 12, it should be noted that the double T joint 5 is inserted between the two panels 3, 3 'in a position such as to restore the continuity between the resin core layers 703, 703' of the two adjacent panels 3, 3 ', and in such a way that the resulting wall 1, 2 has the same characteristics, in particular of fire resistance, of the individual panels 3.
13, 14 and 15 instead illustrate a method for the corner jointing of two panels 3, 3 '. For this purpose, a second type of
7 also with double T and made of a material, preferably metallic, with characteristics similar to those of the joint 5. However, the part of the joint 7 destined to remain outside the panels 3, 3 'extends with an angled part 107 at 90 °. Obviously, if desired, it is possible to provide that the part 107 of the joint 7 is angled differently, for the realization of junctions at non right angles between adjacent panels 3, 3 '. In the edges of the two panels 3, 3 ', as illustrated in fig. 14, suitable millings 4, 4 'are made which allow the insertion of the joint 7 and its fixing by gluing with resin as in the previous case. In fig. 15 it is clearly visible that the internal fin 207 of the joint 7 is in a position such as to restore the functional continuity between the resin core layers 703, 703 'of the two angled panels 3, 3', so that even in in this case, approval at the highest levels is possible, especially as regards fire resistance. Also in this case it is possible to provide for the use of screws 6 for further fastening.
In fig. 28 illustrates the method of supporting and fixing the ceiling panels 3 2 to the peripheral wall panels 3 1. For this purpose, a first element 8 in the form of a U-shaped section of metal material is provided. It should be noted that the carpentry elements used in the present invention are preferably metallic, and preferably in galvanized steel, but it is possible to provide connection elements in different materials, for example in fiberglass or the like. A second element 9 is further provided in the form of an L-shaped profile. The first element 8 is fixed on the wall panel 3 by gluing with approved resin, and the second element 9 is fixed on the first element 8 in position as shown in the figure by means of screws 10 passing through the two elements 8, 9 and possibly interposing a layer of resin. The ceiling panel 3 2 is then glued to the L-shaped element 9 by means of approved resin. The presence of screws 6 for further fastening can also be provided. As in the previous cases of straight junction and corner junction, also in this case the continuity of fire resistance is maintained, in particular due to the presence of resin bonding layers between each profile 8, 9 and the respective panel 3 and possibly also between the two sections 8, 9.
It should be noted that according to an important characteristic of the cabin according to the invention, all the carpentry elements described up to now, and the various connections between the panels are provided with characteristics such as to make the entire cabin self-supporting without the need for further support structures, in particular external to the cabin itself. The advantages are considerable: the cabin is lighter, overall less bulky, so it is possible to optimally exploit the space intended to accommodate the prefabricated cabins, and the cabin is easier to lift and move without requiring the use of additional frames. , as will be described in more detail below.
As regards the partition joints between panels 3, 3 'these can be made as illustrated in fig. 9. For this purpose, an element 12 in the form of an asymmetrical U-shaped profile is glued with approved resin and possibly provided with further fixing screws 6 on the edge of one 3 'of the two panels. The two panels 3, 3 'are arranged perpendicular to each other and are fixed by means of a series of screws 10, preferably self-tapping, which through the thickness of a strip-like carpentry element 11 provided on the surface of the first panel 3 and through the thickness of the same, they engage with the U-shaped section 12, making the fastening between the two panels 3, 3 '. Advantageously, also in this case, the interposition of a homologated resin layer between the U-shaped element 12 and the surface of the panel 3 can be provided. By suitably shaping the various parts, it is possible to create partition joints with angles different from that described.
Figs. 16 to 20 illustrate a first method for making corners by bending a single continuous panel at an angle. In fig. 16 a notch milling 15 is provided which is provided through all the layers 303, 403, 203, 703, 203, 803 of the panel 3 except the external one in aluminum 103. At this point the panel 3 is folded on itself at an angle straight (fig. 17) and in such a way that the aluminum layer 103 is located on the inner faces of the corner and in the free zone 16, formed by the bending, an element 17 formed by a core square 117 is inserted, preferably in calcium silicate, and by an external element 217, preferably in approved resin. The various parts are joined together by gluing with approved resin, while the application by means of resin and / or screws 6 of a finishing plate 18 in the form of an L-shaped section is foreseen. different from the one described, suitably shaping the parts. In this way at least the aluminum layer remains contunuous.
Nelle figg. 21 to 23 illustrates a further method of corner bending of a single continuous panel 3, which differs from the previous one in that the aluminum layer 103 is, once bent, on the external faces of the formed corner. In an intermediate area of the panel 3 a milling 19 of complex shape is provided, formed by a first flat part 119 provided in correspondence with the internal core layer 703 and of substantially corresponding thickness, and by a second V-shaped part 219, in particular with right angle section. Also in this case the milling 19 is provided through all the layers of the panel except the aluminum layer 103. Subsequently, (fig. 22) the panel 3 is folded on itself and between the opposite faces of the milling 219 is interposed a layer of approved resin. In the corner area created by the two millings 119 an element 20 is inserted and eventually glued with approved resin, in the form of an L-shaped profile, preferably metal with a double layer, which performs the function of strengthening the bending area and restoring the functional continuity of the resin layer 703, in particular with regard to fire resistance. A finishing element 21 can be further provided consisting of an L-shaped profile glued with approved resin and / or with screws 6. Also in this case it is possible to provide for the creation of corners according to angles different from the one described, suitably shaping the parts, and that is, by varying the opening angle of the milling 219 and the angle of the element
As far as the internal lighting is concerned, the cabin object of the present invention provides at least three possible solutions which offer numerous advantageous characteristics, as described further on.
According to a first embodiment, (figs. 29 and 30) on the surfaces of the ceiling 2 and / or wall 1 of the cabin there are slots, preferably square, in correspondence with which shells or box-like elements 22 are provided with the shape of a parallelepiped and with a base of a shape corresponding to the shape of the windows. Obviously, slots and small boxes 22 with different shapes are possible. The box 22 protrudes externally from the ceiling surface 2 of the cabin, and is fixed by means of screws 10 which, crossing the wall thickness of the box 22, engage with fixing elements, for example in the form of a frame 2.4 and with an L-shaped section provided. suitably fixed on the external ceiling surface 2 of the car at the edge of the cutout. The box 22 is made with the same materials used for the rest of the cabin walls and, thanks to the particular fixing system, it can be disassembled from inside the cabin itself and extracted inwards to access the external part of the ceiling 2 for for example, carry out maintenance on the transformer of the lamp which is normally placed on the ceiling 2 outside the cabin. This represents a great advantage, because in this way it is possible to foresee that the maintenance of the lamps 25 can be carried out entirely from inside the cabin, and that the space existing between the ceiling 2 of the cabin and the overlying roof of the ship and possibly between walls 1 of adjacent cabins is minimal, allowing to create more spacious cabins, or to place a greater number of cabins in the space intended for them. Again with reference to figs. 29 and 30, the lamp 25 is supported in the center of an element 26, made of the same material as the panels 3 and provided with a hole 27 with a diameter substantially corresponding to that of the lamp 25, which acts as a closure for the housing compartment for the lamp 25 , being mountable and lockable thanks to a peripheral flange 126 which abuts against the edges of the cutout. It should be noted that both the closing element 26 and the box 22 are fixed in such a way that the fire resistance continuity of the cabin is maintained, allowing it to be approved in the maximum class.
Fig. 31 illustrates a second method for making a light point such as a recessed ceiling light or the like, embedded in the ceiling 2 and / or in the walls 1 of the cabin. Also in this case there are suitable shaped slots within the walls. The box 28 which houses the lamp (not shown) is fixed in a similar way to the box 22 described above, that is by means of screws 10 which engage with an element 24 in the form of a frame with an L-shaped section fixed to the outside of the cabin wall along the edges of the cutout. This solution allows its disassembly with all the previously described advantages. In this case, the walls 128 for fixing the box 28 protrude inside the booth and have removable fixing means for a transparent element 29. Said means consist of a U-shaped profile 30 equipped with a guide 13o for sliding insertion of the transparent element such as plexiglass or the like, which has an extension 230 for fixing to the ceiling, for example by means of screws. Also in this case the continuity of fire resistance is maintained between all the interested parts.
Figs. 32 and 33 illustrate a third method of creating light points inside the cabin which can be completely disassembled from the inside and which maintain the continuity of fire resistance. In this case the cutout has an element 32 supporting the box 31 which houses the lamp 25. Said element 32, preferably metallic, consists of a bridge bracket 132 at the ends of which the presence of feet or an element 332 is provided. frame and of a shape substantially equal to that of the cutout that touches the edges of the cutout. The box 31 has a peripheral flange 131 along the edge facing the inside of the cabin which abuts against a corresponding shoulder 33 created by a recess provided along the perimeter of the cutout.
The bridge bracket 132 carries at its center a nut screw 232 and the box 31 has a hole in a corresponding position and such as to allow the introduction of a threaded pin or the like which by tightening creates a clamping of the box 31 against the bracket 132 and at the same time the tightening of the flange 131 against the shoulder 33 thus locking the box 31 in position by clamping with the edge of the cutout. When necessary, for example for the maintenance of the transformer outside the cabin, it will be sufficient to loosen the threaded pin to free and extract the box 31 and, if desired, also to move the support element 32 of the box itself. Also in this case, there is the desired continuity of fire resistance of the various parts in assembled condition, thanks to the mutual interpenetration of the flange 131 and the shoulder 33. It should be further noted that the presence of the element 332 provides a further element of flame-proof, for example, as it overlaps the entire contact area between the box 31 and the edge of the cutout. The bracket 132 and the frame 332 are sized in such a way as to be able to pass in a substantially diagonal inclined position inside the cabin through the opening.
Come illustrato nelle figg. As illustrated in figs. 1 to 6, the cabin is provided complete with furnishing elements, such as for example chest of drawers 34, bedside tables 35 or the like. Among the furnishing elements, particular importance is given to the bed or beds 36 which, as is known, usually consist of foldaway folding berths.
The cabin according to the present invention provides an improved fastening system for the overturning mechanisms of the retractable beds 36 and the advantageous possibility of hosting said mechanisms inside the cabin with advantages similar to those described above with regard to the light points: in fact it is possible reduce the size of the spaces between the cabin ceiling 2 and the ship's deck as it is no longer necessary to access it, as it is possible to carry out the entire maintenance of said mechanisms from inside the cabin.
The car according to the invention provides a valance 37 placed in an intermediate and transverse position and fixed to the ceiling 2 of the car. Said valance 37 performs the function, as in known cabins, of housing the sliding mechanism of a curtain or the like to isolate the "sleeping area" from view from the rest of the cabin. Said valance 37 is provided with a U-shaped section and is mounted with the U facing downwards, while in correspondence with the entire junction line between the wall 1 parallel to the valance 37 and the ceiling 2 a further element is provided, in particular a L-shaped section 38 fixed to said wall 1. The valance 37 and L-shaped section 38 are preferably tubular and such as to have sufficient load resistance. They are connected to each other by transverse beams 40 so as to form a structure with characteristics of strength such as to be able to support the movement mechanisms of the beds and the beds 36 themselves. The part of the ceiling corresponding to each bed 36 has a box 39 of sufficient size to accommodate the bed 36 and made of panels 3 with identical characteristics to those of the rest of the car, fixed to each other and to the peripheral walls 1 of the car using the methods of junction previously described. In this way the body 39, which protrudes above the ceiling of the cabin, maintains all the important and desired characteristics of continuity of fire resistance of the rest of the cabin. The beds 36 can be provided totally or partially retractable, according to the dimensions of the container 39 for containing each bed 36.
With reference to figs. 36 and 37 it is possible to make a toilet box using the same type of panels 3 and the same measures previously described with regard to the cabin. In this case, however, it is necessary to provide a floor frame 41 to raise the floor of the booth, albeit slightly with respect to the surface of the cover, in order to have a slope, albeit minimal, in particular for the lower drains, which are normally consisting of the shower drain 43 and the washing drain of the cubicle floor. Said unloading means in the booth object of the present invention are provided in such a way as to reduce the space between the floor of the box and the cover necessary to have the desired slope. In fact, they consist of an elongated siphon 42 into which the water of the shower 43 and that of washing the floor of the box flow. Obviously, both the floor of the shower 43 and that of the box are provided with slopes such as to allow the water to flow in the direction of the siphon 42. Said siphon 42 can be provided with an internal element 142 for separating the siphon water coming from the shower 43 from the siphon water coming from the floor. The most advantageous feature of this drainage system consists in the fact that the siphon 42 is arranged in such a way that the water level of the siphon 42 is substantially at the same level or slightly lower than the levels of the shower 43 and of the floor, and the drain pipe (s) can also be placed at the same level, so that the cabin elevation necessary to house the siphon 42 and the drain pipes is minimal. Advantageously, the opening 44 for discharging the water into the siphon 42 is arranged vertically, in the peripheral walls, and is equipped with a protection grid 45. The elongated dimensions of said opening 44 favor the flow of water into the siphon 42 and from this into the well provided in the cover. It should also be noted that said hygienic box can be provided integrated into the structure of the walls of the booth or provided with its own walls, and shown as illustrated in fig. 38, and combined or not with the cabin at a later time.
With reference to fig. 38, the particular self-supporting structure of the cabin described above also allows the improvement of the lifting and handling means of the same, considerably simplifying its construction and reducing its bulk. Said means are constituted by skid elements 46, 47 and 48 which are positioned transversely under the lower edges of the opposite walls 1 and allow the lift and movement of the cabin.
Figs. 41a, 41b, 42a, 42b, 43a, 43b illustrate in detail three different types of skate. The shoe 46 of Figs. 41a, 41b is intended to be positioned in correspondence with the cabin area usually devoid of partitions and comprises two pairs of tubular elements 146, 246 telescopically sliding one inside the other, so as to be able to adjust the overall length of the shoe 46 to different widths cabin. The two pairs of tubular elements 146, 246 are parallel to each other. Advantageously, holes 346 are provided for the insertion of pins or the like (not shown) intended to mutually lock the tubular elements 146, 246 over a desired length. The telescopic runner 46 also performs the function of integrating the walls 1 of the cabin along the lower edge during the lifting and / or moving operations. This solidarity is necessary as usually these cabins do not have a floor wall. At the opposite ends of the sliding tubular elements 146, 246, support elements 446 with L-shaped section are provided for the lower edges of the walls 1 of the cabin. The two sliding elements with larger diameter 146 are connected to each other by at least one plate 546 supporting at least one wheel 646, a further plate 546 being provided for supporting at least one further wheel 646, which plate 546 connects the two sliding elements with smaller diameter 246. Said plates 546 are fixed at the same distance from the bracket 446 with the closest L section, in such a way as to keep the distance of each wheel 646 from the nearest wall 1 constant regardless of the elongation / shortening of the device 46. The wheels 646 perform the function of allowing the movement of the cabin on a plane, for example the cover of the ship.
Each L-shaped support element 446 is provided with at least one hole 746 intended for the passage of a tie rod 49 which is in turn fixed to a structure 50, preferably rigid, for lifting the
The second type of shoe 47 of fig. 42 is very similar to the previous type, but has a partial width with respect to the total width of the cabin, for supports in intermediate points. It is in fact intended to be positioned, for example, on the edge of the car entrance area (fig. 38) so that the lower edge of the car wall rests on it at one end and the lower edges of the cabin wall and of the hygienic box.
The third type of skate 48 {fig. 43) essentially consists of a support element 148, provided as a bracket with an L-shaped section, and which develops more in height than the support elements 446 described above, and of a support plate 248 for a wheel 646. Said support element 148 can optionally be fixed provisionally to the lower part of the wall 1 by means of, for example, screws.
With reference to figs. 44 to 48, the hinges of the cabin doors are provided in such a way as to force the door to a certain position, preferably the closed position, as required by the regulations in force. This object is achieved in a very simple way, avoiding the presence of complicated and expensive automatic closing devices.
I due elementi 51, 52 presentano superfici Each hinge is composed of a first element 51 intended to be fixed to the door leaf, and of a second element 52 intended to be fixed to the door frame.
