Abstract

In un ricevitore radar viene previsto uno sdoppiatore di polarizzazione in grado di separare i segnali d'eco di ritorno ricevuti in due segnali con caratteristiche di polarizzazione correlate ortogonalmente, un mezzo di misura per la misura dell'ampiezza e della fase relativa dei due segnali, mezzi di calcolo operanti in risposta all'ampiezza e alla fase relativa dei due segnali per ognuno di due segnali di ritorno d'eco radar successivi con caratteristiche correlate ortogonalmente, per calcolare nulli co-polari pertinenti ad un mezzo di memorizzazione del bersaglio radar, in cui sono memorizzati i dati pertinenti ai nulli co-polari per bersagli specificati e mezzi di confronto operanti in risposta ai dati memorizzati nei mezzi di memoria e ai nulli co-polari calcolati per fornire un segnale di uscita indicativo dell'identità del bersaglio quando viene ottenuta una corrispondenza fra un nullo memorizzato e un nullo co-polare calcolato.
