Abstract

A luminaire for a motor vehicle has a lamp and a transparent pane for diffusing the light beams emanating from the lamp. The lamp is arranged such that the light beams emanating from it impinge on the pane at right angles to the thickness thereof, there being provided, in addition, reflecting devices for deflecting the light beams in a direction at right angles to the pane.
