Abstract

L'invenzione riguarda un apparecchio per radiografia comportante un braccio di supporto montato a rotazione (1), il quale presenta una sorgente di raggi X (2) ad una estremità e un ricevitore d'immagine (3) all'estremità opposta, l'oggetto in esame essendo posto fra la sorgente (2) e il ricevitore d'immagine (3) e la formazione dell'immagine essendo eseguita facendo ruotare il braccio di supporto. Il concetto dell'invenzione è che un semplice apparecchio per radiografia panoramica può essere usato anche per eseguire tomografie, in quanto l'oggetto di cui si vuole ottenere l'immagine, nel caso specifico una dentatura, contiene principalmente superfici verticali e un movimento di oscillazione orizzontale è sufficiente per sfumare le medesime. Secondo un altro concetto, muovendo l'albero portante (4) del braccio di supporto lungo un arco di cerchio durante la sfumatura, il fulcro può essere spostato all'estero dell'albero portante, eliminando così certe limitazioni imposte dalla meccanica di un apparecchio per radiografia convenzionale in relazione all'arca di cui si deve formare l'immagine e alla posizione del braccio di supporto.
