Abstract

Un sensore d'altezza comprende una coppia di elementi fotoemettitori disposti in posizioni distanziate a distanze diverse da una superficie che si desidera misurare, gli elementi emettendo alternativamente raggi di luce ed un elemento fotoricettore per ricevere un raggio di luce generato da ciascun elemento fotoemettitore e riflesso dalla superficie misurata, l'elemento producendo un segnale corrispondente alla quantità di luce ricevuta. Il segnale fornito in uscita dall'elemento fotoricettore è convertito logaritmicamente mediante un circuito convertitore logaritmico. L'uscita di esso ha pertanto le sue componenti in corrente continua rimosse mediante un filtro. Il valore, coprente l'escursione da picco a picco delle componenti di corrente alternata, rimanenti è uguale al valore ottenuto sottraendo un valore convertito logaritmicamente del segnale fornito in uscita dall'elemento fotoricettore quando un elemento fotoemettitore è indotto a fornire un raggio di luce, da un valore convertito logaritmicamente del segnale fornito in uscita dall'elemento fotoricettore quando l'altro elemento fotoemettitore è indotto a fornire un raggio di luce. Raddrizzando tale uscita del filtro, è possibile rivelare l'altezza fino alla superficie misurata senza essere influenzati da polvere sulla superficie misurata sull'uscita dell'elemento fotoricevitore.
