Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove mutual interference at the time of adjustment and to facilitate the adjusting operation by detecting 1st and 2nd scanning beams which are scanned on a body to be measured by using mutually independent 1st and 2nd photodetectors. CONSTITUTION:A scanning beam generating means 10 generates the 1st and 2nd scanning beams 2A and 2B which mutually cross at two-directional measurement unit 30. The two-directional measurement unit 30 scans the body 3 to be measured by the 1st and 2nd scanning beams 2A and 2B in two X and Y directions, and photodetectors 34A and 34B output signals (i) and (j) respectively. Then an adding circuit 21 puts the signals (i) and (j) together and outputs their sum signal (k) to a counting circuit 22. This counting circuit 22 measures time intervals of the variation of an output signal (k) from an adding circuit 21. Then an arithmetic display circuit 27 calculates the X-directional and Y- directional distances of the body 3 and displays them as the X-directional and Y-directional sizes of the measured body 3.
