Abstract

Viene descritto un commutatore elettrico del tipo formato dal ripiegamento a manicotto cilindrico di una striscia di materiale conduttore avente delle linguette estendentesi verso l'esterno e tra loro spaziate lungo un proprio lato, cosicché le linguette si estendono verso l'esterno da una estremità assiale del manicotto. La striscia include almeno uno, e preferibilmente due, porzioni incassate nello spazio compreso tra due linguette adiacenti cosicché queste porzioni incassate sporgono radialmente verso l'interno una volta che la striscia è formata nel manicotto cilindrico. Porzioni di ancoraggio sulla superficie interna del manicotto, così come le porzioni incassate, sono poi incapsulate in un materiale isolante, quale per esempio una resina fenolica. Dopodiché, una pluralità di feritoie estendentesi assialmente e circonferenzialmente spaziate sono ricavate di macchina nella periferia esterna del manicotto e queste feritoie si estendono fino a un punto intermedio nello spazio tra due linguette adiacenti. Le feritoie di macchina separano così la striscia conduttiva in una pluralità di segmenti di commutatore circonferenzialmente adiacenti e le linguette sono successivamente ripiegate all'indietro per formare un punto di connessione per l'avvolgimento del motore. In pratica, le porzioni incassate del manicotto comprese tra linguette adiacenti, insieme alla loro incapsulazione nel materiale isolante, serve per rinforzare le linguette contro la flessione verso l'esterno durante la rotazione del commutatore.
