Abstract

The burner comprises a cylindrical body (1) with a duct (3), surrounded by a second cylinder (2) and having a nozzle (5, 7) with injector ducts (8). The liquid fuel is supplied to the nozzle and injector ducts via the body duct. The axes of the injectors are arranged in a curve which permits a rotation of the fluid to be obtained w.r.t. the combustion-supporting air which is introduced parallel to the axis of the two cylindrical bodies. The burner may also be used for assisted atomisation, using an auxiliary fuel.
