Abstract

The control circuit is for a controllable semiconductor switch of the triac type, which is connected in series with an inductive load to an alternating voltage supply network. It consists of a pulse shaper with a trigger input and control signal output. There is a detection circuit with an output connected to the trigger input. The input of the detection circuit is connected in parallel to the main supply circuit to the semiconductor switch. The input circuit contains a high pass filter relative to the mains frequency. The high pass filter is also the input of the detector circuit (7) in series with the parallel circuit consisting of a resistor (10) and a capacitor (100).
