Abstract
The fuel injection system has the nozzle discharge passage in the horn of the vibration amplifier. The nozzle discharge passage is normally shut by a valve movable in the lengthwise direction of the amplifier, and it opens only on injection. It has a manifold (1) accommodating the injection nozzle (9), together with a number of brances (2-5) emanating from the nozzle. The outlet of each branch is connected to one of the combustion chambers of the engine. The manifold can be an air inlet manifold with a throttle butterfly (7). The throttle butterfly can be situated between the nozzle and the manifold outlet branches.
