Claims (6)
1. ·, A fertiliser tablet for fertilising forest plants for the first growth periods after planting out, which comprises, as the sole potassium and phosphate component, polymeric potassium metaphosphate (KP03)n, and as the sole nitrogen component, a condensation product of urea with a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic aldehyde containing nofc more than four carbon atoms and, optionally, one or more conditioning agents, wherein the ratio of B ! P and N : is 1 : 0.25 to 0.5» and 1 O.J to Ο.65, respectively.
2. A tablet according to claim 1, in which the condensation product is a condensation product of urea with formaldehyde in the molar ratio urea : formaldehyde of 1 : 1 or 2 : 1.
3. J. A tablet according to claim 1, in which the condensation product is isobutylidene-diurea.
4. · A tablet according to claim 1, in which the condensation product is crotonylidene-diurea.
5. · A tablet according to any one of claims 1 to 4i in which the size of the tablet is about 40 sq. mm. by 7 to 14 mm. thick.

A process for the production of a fertiliser tablet according to any one of claims 1 to 5» which comprises admixing polymeric potassium metaphosphate ( P03)n and a condensation product of urea with a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic aldehyde containing no^more than four carbon atoms and, optionally, a conditioning agent so as to provide a mixture having a N : P and N : K ratio of 1 : 0.25 to 0·5 and 1 : Ο.35 to 0.6 respectively and pressing the mixture into tablet form at a pressure of between 12 and 18 kg/cm2. 7« A fertiliser tablet for fertilising forest plants according to claim 1 and substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to the Examples. 8· A process for the production of a fertiliser tablet according to claim 6 and substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to the Examples' For Dfi
