Abstract

Claims (10)

1. Device for covering a wall surface by means of a flexible sheet, such as a fabric, which includes at least one profile and at least one reed, said profile having the 'shape of a continuous flat band adapted to be fixed to said wail surface and having an upper edge which is bent so as to form a terminal flange and the front face of which has the — form of a rib in the shape of a tubular housing which_is_ope over its entire le^ngth^and the bordering edges of which are fitted with a lower support flange and with an upper flange which delimits with said terminal flange an open channel which is parallel to said tubular housing, and said reed^ being made of a relatively elastic material and having a diameter such that when said reed is inserted in said housing together with at least one thickness of said sheet the latter is firmly held therein and supported by said lower- support flange.
2. Device according to Claim 1, wherein said upper flange forms a guide for said sheet, the end of which possibly protrudes into said channel.
3. Device according to Claim 2, wherein said end of said sheet is pleated in order to form hems and is inserted with a double thickness in said housing all in such a way that said profile is hidden from view..
4. Device according to Claim 3, wherein the hem, . respectively the hems of the fabric are made by pleating the fabric's corresponding edge inside as compared to the flange, to be covered.
5. Device according to Claim 3, wherein the hem, respectively the hems of the fabric, are made by pleating the fabric's corresponding edge outside as compared to the flange to be covered. ■ ■ . " ,39773/3

Device according to Claim 1, wherein said terminal flange is substantially parallel to said rib and tihati the device further includes a substantially ' L-shaped joint cover, one leg of which is intended to be inserted in said channel and the other leg of which is intended to hide said reed from view.
7. Device according to Claim 1, wherein said edges of said rib are each fitted with a salient part directed towards the 'inside of the housing.
8. Device according to Claim 1, wherein said edges of said rib are divergent.
9. . Device according to Claim 1, wherein said reed is constituted by a split cylindrical :tube.
