Abstract

1417324 Surface coverings; clips M ASSAEL 13 Feb 1973 [15 Feb 1972] 6972/73 Heading E1W and E2B Hangings are fixed to e.g. a wall using a device e.g. 1a or 1b, which has mutually perpendicular surfaces e.g. 3a for fixing it to surfaces M 1 , M 2 , together with resilient arms e.g. 5a or 5b which curve towards the apex of the device and have at least a return portion, e.g. 6a which extends away from the bisectric of the apex. In the embodiment of Fig. 5 two sheets 9 are held, each via an edge strip, in opposed channels 6a formed at the ends of the arms 5a, and preferably with ribbed inner surfaces. This embodiment may also be used to grip a single sheet using a triangular-sectioned edge strip (7), Fig. 8 (not shown). Angled edge grooves 14 allow lining material 15 to be fixed. In the embodiment of Fig. 11, a single sheet 2b may be retained as shown by a strip 7, or two sheets may be retained by flat edge strips in the channels 11b, Fig. 12 (not shown).
