Abstract
1421984 Surface coverings; clips M ASSAEL 13 Feb 1973 [14 Feb 1972] 6971/73 Headings E1W and E2B Tapestries or other hangings are fixed to, e.g. a wall using an upper device, e.g. 1a, which has at leas one longitudinal groove e.g. 5a in a front face thereof and arranged at an acute angle to a rear face thereof which is fixed to the wall by members, e.g. 17 projecting therefrom. The appropriate edge of the tapestry is wrapped around a stiffening strip, e.g. 7a which is inserted into the groove, and may be substantially as wide as the groove, as shown, or narrower (Fig. 4, not shown). Ribs 13 may be provided in the grooves, of which a lower one 5b may be arranged such that a sheet 14 of lining material may be hung behind the tapestry. Fixing blocks 18 of plastics may be employed as the fixing members, in a rear slideway 19, to engage sockets 15, of light alloy or plastics, which are set into the wall.
