Abstract

The novel derivatives are compounds of the formulae I and II and their salts. These compounds are prepared by culturing Streptomyces olivaceus or Streptomyces gedanensis and recovering the compounds formed and/or their salts from the culture medium. Microorganisms preferred for the culture are the strains ATCC 31126 and 31365. The novel compounds of the formulae I and II and their salts exhibit antibacterial action and are employed as active component in medicaments, on their own or in combination with other antibiotics, preferably in the form of an individual, isolated salt. <IMAGE> [FR2401162A1]
