Abstract

A ship for carrying containers and the like. A ship for carrying containers and the like, having the containers loaded in stocks preferably arranged in longitudinal and traverse lines over the ship. The ship has its main deck near the water line and to provide for sufficient mechanical strength to absorb the wave forces the ship has a girder structure comprising vertical side girders, at least one longitudinal girder on ech side of the ship and traverse girders.
