Abstract

The biologically active substance is bound covalently to poly(hydroxymethylene) or poly(vinylenecarbonate) either directly or after reaction with a coupling component. The coupling component, which is optionally employed, is bound to the poly(hydroxymethylene) and the biologically active compound by a covalent bond in each case. When poly(vinylenecarbonate) is used, the remaining carbonate groups are hydrolysed. The biologically active substances which are obtained are suitable for use in affinity chromatography.
