1331796 Air heating stoves METAALWARENFABRIEK JOH TH BENRAAD NV 4 Nov 1970 [14 Nov 1969] 52499/70 Heading F4S Room air circulates by convection through the casing 1 of an air heating stove, the air being heated as it flows around a burner-fired heat exchanger in said casing and the stove being on the inside of an external wall 16 of the building with the combustion-air supply duct and flue gas duct projecting through said wall to the external atmosphere. The heat exchange surfaces are all formed of sheet material which is corrugated or ribbed. The heat exchanger construction comprises a burner chamber formed by an inverted U-shaped member 2a, 2b, 6, closed at its lower end by a plate 3. The chamber communicates through an opening 13 in an inclined partition 12, with a flue pipe 14, 15 having a grille 17 at its outlet end. The flue is eccentrically arranged within an inlet duct 24, 25 for combustion air said duct leading via an opening 18 in the wall 2b, to the burner chamber. An additional air heating chamber 4 of triangular form is arranged within the burner chamber as shown. The triangular ends of the chamber 4 are connected to the side walls 11a of the burner chamber and air flows into the chamber 4 via suitable openings (not shown) in said side walls. Heated air leaves the chamber 4 via connections 7-10 and thereafter is mixed with the heated air passing upwardly out of the casing 1 into the space being heated. [GB1331796A]
