Abstract

1,200,042. Container closures. AMERICAN FLANGE & MFG. CO. Inc. 10 Jan., 1969 [31 Jan., 1968], No.1677/69. Heading B8T. A container closure comprising a diaphragm 20 integrally connected to a pull member 21 is weakened at 25 and further weakened at 33 (Fig. 4) adjacent the pull member to facilitate initial rupture of the diaphragm. The portion 33 extends a short distance either side of the pull member 21. The entire closure 1 may be integrally moulded from polyethylene. The invention may be applied to a plug receiving member (Fig. 6, not shown). [GB1200042A]
