A találmány tárgya eljárás szénhidrogének epoxidálására oxigénnel vagylevegővel vagy nitrogénoxidokkal vagy más gáz formájú oxidálószerrel,oly módon, hogy az eljárást Sc, Y, Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W,Re, Fe, Co, Ni, Sn, Pb, Sb, Bi és Se közül megválasztva legalább kételemet tartalmazó keverék jelenlétében végzik, ahol a keveréklegfeljebb 200 m2/g BET felületű hordozóra van felvive.
