Claims (8)

1. Biljka Beta vulgaris otporna na herbicid inhibitor ALS i njezini dijelovi koji sadrže mutaciju na poziciji koja odgovara poziciji 1705-1707 gena za endogenu acetolaktat sintazu (ALS) prikazanog u referentnoj nukleotidnoj sekvenci SEQ ID NO:1, pri čemu ALS gen kodira ALS polipeptid koji sadrži aminokiselinu leucin na poziciji 569 ALS polipeptida, pri čemu su navedena biljka Beta vulgaris i njeni dijelovi homozigotni za mutaciju ALS gena, pri čemu navedena biljka Beta vulgaris nije transgena u pogledu navedenog endogenog ALS gena, pri čemu kodon na navedenom položaju koji odgovara položaju 1705-1707 je TTG, te pri čemu the Beta vulgaris plant is at least 100 times less sensitive to the ALS inhibitor.
2. Biljka Beta vulgaris i njezini dijelovi prema zahtjevu 1, u kojoj ALS polipeptid ima aminokiselinsku sekvencu koja je najmanje 99% identična ALS aminokiselinskoj sekvenci SEQ ID NO: 2.
3. Biljka Beta vulgaris i njezini dijelovi prema zahtjevu 1, naznačena time što ALS gen kodira ALS polipeptid koji sadrži leucin na poziciji 569 ALS polipeptidne sekvence kako je navedeno u SEQ ID NO: 2.
4. Biljka Beta vulgaris i njezini dijelovi prema zahtjevu 1, naznačena time što je endogeni ALS gen identičan nukleotidnoj sekvenci definiranoj sa SEQ ID NO: 3.
5. Biljka Beta vulgaris i njezini dijelovi prema zahtjevu 1, koja je tolerantna na jedan ili više herbicida inhibitora ALS koji pripadaju skupini koju čine sulfonilurea herbicidi, sulfonilaminokarboniltriazolinonski herbicidi, imidazolinonski herbicidi, triazolopirimidinski herbicidi i pirimidinil(tio)benzoatni herbicidi.
6. Biljka Beta vulgaris i njezini dijelovi prema zahtjevu 1, naznačena time što je mutacija homozigotno prisutna kao jedina mutacija gena endogene acetolaktat sintaze (ALS).
7. Biljka Beta vulgaris i njezini dijelovi prema zahtjevu 1, naznačena time što je biljka Beta vulgaris najmanje 500 puta manje osjetljiva na inhibitor ALS.
8. Dijelovi biljke Beta vulgaris prema zahtjevu 1, naznačeni time što su dijelovi organi, tkiva i stanice biljke, te poželjno sjemenke.
