Claims (20)

1. Uporaba 2-aminoetanola kao aditiva u vodenim suspenzijama koje sadrže od 25 do 62 vol. % na temelju ukupnog volumena suspenzije barem jedan materijal koji sadrži kalcijev karbonat u količini od 500 do 15 000 mg, poželjno od 1 000 do 5 000 mg, i poželjnije od 1 300 do 2 000 mg, po litri vodene faze te suspenzije i imaju pH između 8.5 i 11, radi povećanja pH suspenzije za barem 0.3 pH jedinice, naznačeno time što se promjena provodljivosti suspenzije održava unutar 100 μS/cm/pH jedinica.
2. Uporaba prema zahtjevu 1, naznačena time što se 2-aminoetanol aditiv dodaje kao otopina na bazi vode u materijal koji sadrži kalcijev karbonat.
3. Uporaba prema zahtjevu 1 ili 2, naznačena time što 2-aminoetanol aditiv ima kemijsku čistoću više od 90 wt%, poželjno više od 95 wt%, poželjnije više od 99 wt% u odnosu na 2-aminoetanol.
4. Uporaba prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, naznačena time što suspenzija ima provodljivost između 700 i 2 000 μS/cm, i poželjno između 800 i 1 300 μS/cm, prije dodavanja 2-aminoetanola.
5. Uporaba prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, naznačena time što se nakon dodavanja 2-aminoetanola promjena provodljivosti suspenzije održava unutar 70 μS/cm/pH jedinica, i poželjno unutar 50 μS/cm/pH jedinica vrijednosti provodljivosti suspenzije prije dodavanja 2-aminoetanola.
6. Uporaba prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, naznačena time što se nakon dodavanja 2-aminoetanola promjena provodljivosti suspenzije u μS/cm/pH jedinica održava pri vrijednosti unutar 10 %, poželjno unutar 6 %, i poželjnije unutar 3 %, vrijednosti provodljivosti suspenzije prije dodavanja 2-aminoetanola.
7. Uporaba prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, naznačena time što prije dodavanja 2-aminoetanola, suspenzija ima pH između 9 i 10.3.
8. Uporaba prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, naznačena time što se 2-aminoetanol dodaje u suspenziju u količini koja će povećati pH suspenzije za barem 0.4 pH jedinica.
9. Uporaba prema zahtjevima 1 do 6, naznačena time što u slučaju kada je pH suspenzije prije dodavanja 2-aminoetanola između 8.5 i 9, taj 2-aminoetanol se dodaje u suspenziju u količini koja će povećati pH suspenzije za barem 1.0 pH jedinicu, i što u slučaju kada je pH suspenzije prije dodavanja 2-aminoetanola između 9 i 10, taj 2-aminoetanol se dodaje u suspenziju u količini koja će povećati pH suspenzije za barem 0.7 pH jedinica.
10. Uporaba prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, naznačena time što prije dodavanja 2-aminoetanola, ta suspenzija ima temperaturu između 5 i 100°C, poželjno između 35 i 85°C, i poželjnije između 45 i 75°C.
11. Uporaba prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, naznačena time što se materijal koji sadrži kalcijev karbonat sastoji od barem 50 %, poželjno barem 80 %, i poželjnije barem 98 %, težinski, kalcijevog karbonata u odnosu na ukupnu težinu tog materijala koji sadrži kalcijev karbonat.
12. Uporaba prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, naznačena time što je kalcijev karbonat u tom materijalu koji sadrži kalcijev karbonat precipitirani kalcijev karbonat (PCC), prirodni kalcijev karbonat (NGCC), površinski reagiran kalcijev karbonat (SRCC), ili njihova mješavina.
13. Uporaba prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, naznačena time što suspenzija sadrži od 45 do 60 vol. % i poželjno od 48 do 58 vol. % i najpoželjnije od 49 do 57 vol. %, materijala koji sadrži kalcijev karbonat, na bazi ukupnog volumena te suspenzije.
14. Uporaba prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, naznačena time što se 2-aminoetanol dodaje prije, tijekom ili nakon, i poželjno nakon, koraka mljevenja tog materijala koji sadrži kalcijev karbonat.
15. Uporaba prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, naznačena time što se 2-aminoetanol dodaje suhom obliku materijala koji sadrži kalcijev karbonat, prije formiranja suspenzije tog materijala koji sadrži kalcijev karbonat.
16. Uporaba prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, naznačena time što se nakon dodavanja 2-aminoetanola suspenziji, ta suspenzija uvodi u jedinicu opremljenu s uređajem za regulaciju provodljivosti.
17. Uporaba prema zahtjevu 16, naznačena time što se nakon dodavanja 2-aminoetanola suspenziji, ta suspenzija uvodi u spremnik ili jedinicu do razine utvrđene mjerenjem provodljivosti suspenzije.
18. Uporaba prema zahtjevu 16, naznačena time što nakon dodavanja 2-aminoetanola suspenziji, ta suspenzija prolazi kroz prolaz u kojem se protok suspenzije regulira kao funkcija provodljivosti suspenzije.
19. Postupak za povisivanje pH vodene suspenzije koja sadrži od 25 do 62 vol. % na temelju ukupnog volumena suspenzije barem jedan materijal koji sadrži kalcijev karbonat i ima pH između 8.5 i 11, naznačeno time što postupak obuhvaća korak dodavanja 2-aminoetanola suspenziji u količini tako da se pH suspenzije povisi za barem 0.3 pH jedinica i, istovremeno, promjena provodljivosti suspenzije nije veća od 100 μS/cm po pH jedinici, poželjno nije veća od 50 μS/cm po pH jedinici i vrlo poželjno nije veća od 20 μS/cm po pH jedinici.
20. Uporaba suspenzije dobivene postupkom prema zahtjevu 19 u primjenama boje i/ili papira.
